Gem of a find in Marbella. We were a group of 8 well travelled ladies from Singapore on a 10 day golf trip to Marbella. We had wanted to dine at Messina but it was closed for renovations so we stumbled upon Candeal a stone’s throw from our hotel.
It was so good we dined there 3 times, choosing to dine there on our last night in Marbella as a nice way to round off our golf extravaganza.
Everything about the place was excellent- the decor, service from Scott and Damaris, and of course the food from chef Pablo was incredible- everything from the amuse bouche, starters, the mains right down to the desserts and the wines paired by Scott who’s a sommelier, everything was excellent.
That Pablo used to cook at Kokotxa in San Sebastien comes as no surprise.

Chef Pablo Rebollo’s truffle cauliflower is a dish that really stands out. The different textures and the earthy truffle flavor show the care and thought that went into it. It’s a simple dish done exceptionally well.
