Dearest gentle reader,
Da Sergio is a great beach restaurant and I can highly recommend all the savory food. From starters to perfectly cooked tenderloin, it was a pleasant and tasty experience as well as the service that was smooth and friendly.
However as I always try to be a 100% honest in all my reviews, unfortunatly I cannot recommend eating a dessert here, in total contrast of the 9 savory dishes our table tried that were awesome...we got store bought, defrosted cheesecake and carrot cake.
My advice to the owner, serve 4 good desserts instead of serving 14 of which half is really bad. You have an amazing kitchen but as dessert is the final impression one gets in a restaurant, it nearly killed the whole experience. Also when each person in the table spends over 50 euro and people adres you about a 7 euro cheesecake that is beside 2 bites (2 people) untouched and not consumed, you do not let them pay for this. I really wasn't pleased it was not taken out in a over 200euro bill. Not that we care that much about the 7euro, it is just offending to let one pay for something he didn't consume.
Further for those who read this, despite the dessert failure, it is one of the best restaurants in the region that we have tried in the 12 days that we have spend here in the region so despite the error I still highly recommend you to try this restaurant. If I wasn't offended by the dessert it would have been a 5 star...
Read moreThe two earlier reviews by Miguel Piqueras and Bryllante are a lie, and l feel obliged to say something because I was in the restaurant with my family, and this group ruined our family's meal. They were a loud, obnoxious, and ignorant group with zero respect for everyone else's dining experience. Then, when their meal ended, they proceeded to loudly demand another round of shots for free because in their twisted logic, they were a large group, and the bill justified additional free drinks for them. When the waiter explained it didn't work that way, they started threatening they would write a bad review if they didn't get more shots on the house. They were rude and made everyone uncomfortable. We have been patrons of Da Sergio's since day one, and they never disappoint (as is evident in over 1,600 reviews!). This group's behaviour was absolutely ridiculous! On their way out, they even tried to steal an ice bucket and blanket, but the owner caught up to them and requested they return them. Shameful behaviour followed by...

Stumbled upon this place to discover it to be open and serving food, so we popped in for a light brunch.
We sat outside, beachfront. The table was clean, the very pleasant waiter attended to us promptly adorning a welcoming smile and took our order.
Only a short wait for our food. He brought bread, but had the courtesy to ASK if I wanted it, not just assuming as is the normal "upsell" practice in Spain. We usually decline bread, but I decided to have it on this occasion. I asked for butter also, to which the waiter took away my bread to have it warmed for me! Very thoughtful, and a welcomed attention to detail.
The good was lovely, well cooked, hot and presented on interesting & unusual plates.
A relaxing and enjoyable brunch with a "breaking wave" soundtrack.
A memorable experience, so we will...
