Terrible customer service. Arriving at the restaurant at 6:30pm for a coffee on a Saturday afternoon in mid-January. The restaurant with the terrace quite crowded, despite the wind and the cold, and only one table in use inside for 4 people. I ask the waiter if he can put us a table for 3 inside for a quick coffee, being noticeably pregnant of 8 months, to which he replies that for a coffee we have to sit outside in the cold or at a high table sitting on a high stool! Clearly that waiter has no idea how to treat a pregnant woman and I find it embarrassing to receive that treatment after being an all year round customer for so many years. Definitely having the tables set up with a plastic under plate directly on the bare table, somehow wiping a damp cloth after the 4 drops of coffee that we could possibly spill or the trace of some sugar was not going to be so much work to justify having the restaurant empty and sending us out in the cold or to a high stool I can't even get to sit on while pregnant. I also doubt that at 7:00pm on a Saturday they would have the restaurant full of foreigners having dinner in mid-January, not being able to spare a single table inside for drinking coffee for half an hour, I wish they could count on such a customer turnover, so they wouldn't have to depend on us who live in the area that go there every week during the non-summer. A great disappointment for the lack of solidarity and bad treatment. They have lost a regular client and company, but I imagine...
Read moreBeautiful restaurant and location right on the front opposite the beach in San Pedro, this place is super popular we couldn’t get in last Sunday and booked for this week, luckily we did as there was a massive Q to get in when we left. The restaurant opens at 13:00 so as we knew it would be full and busy we made sure we were there for 13:30, thankfully we did. Service was fast and efficient but as the restaurant filled up the service slowed we asked for ice 3 times, coffee and lemon slices for the paella twice before they came but we were in no rush so didn’t bother us too much, but I held back 1 star. We could see some other people on nearby tables were experiencing some hiccups with the service so not just us. The food was really good and very well presented with large portions, we probably ordered too much as when our Paella came we were pretty full after our 2 starters. We will definitely be back highly recommended but make sure you book...
Read moreA favourite on the San Pedro beachfront, good staff, attentive on the whole and friendly. Staff are knowledgable on the wine front with good recommendations, the food is really good paricularly the solomillo de ternera. The calamares earlier this week were particularly good - really fleshy not chewy with a lovely light batter and great fresh taste. Would also recommend the chicken caesar salad and the filititos de ternera in sauce and the cured meat and cheeses to start if in a group. The fish I've often found overly salty as are other dishes occasionally i wonder if the chef tastes everything. Can't give a 5 because of that but would definitely recommend a visit, the view at the front is...
