Shango's — Restaurant in Marbella

I used to go to this place quite regularly before pandemic. I came back yesterday with close friends, as I remembered the great food, atmosphere and service. Unfortunately, the service level dropped dramatically. No attention to the client, request being forgotten, etc. When waitress was cleaning the table, she throw the salad bowl on my friend´s lap... the staff couldn´t care less. They were more interested in cleaning the floor than my friend´s clothes. At the end we asked to pack our unfinished meal for home. One of the dishes wasn´t packed which I realised at home. Not sure if that experience was worth the money we...

Top restaurant, with really great service and staff. We had the best best meat ever in this place. I had the entrecôte 500gms with king prawns. We were with our great friends and we were all so impressed with absolutely everything.

Our server Walid was so attentive and friendly. He gave us a great tip for the wine, a super Rioja.

My steak was excellent, the sauces were excellent the baked potato was one of the best I've ever had and then i saw the pizzas on the table beside us and I wanted one, they looked amazing too (the guys eating them told me they come here all the te for the pizzas).

I read the reviews and we gave it a try. It was undersold in the reviews.....Amazing service, beautiful food, a menu which leaves you lost for choice - the only answer is to book more evenings.

Incredible value and only a few mins taxi ride from the Westin.

Don't hesitate. Book an outside table and enjoy!

UPDATE: in the end we went 5 times during our holiday including my daughter's birthday ( she selected Shangos over any other restaurant in Marbella). Don't miss the opportunity for a superb meal served by great people for a more than fair price in a comfortable...
