If you’re up for a casual, tasty and fairly inexpensive lunch or dinner, then you have to consider Top Thai. It’s one of the few Thai places in Marbella.

Food 4/5 The food is tasty. We’ve never had a single problem with what came out of the kitchen. We’ve eaten there many times. While the menu is not as creative as it could be, they’re getting all the Thai and some other Asian dishes right. It’s all great, but it could do with some more exciting dishes.

Service 4.5/5 Staff are friendly and pretty professional. On point for this casual venue.

Ambience 4/5 It has a nice terrace that is family and dog friendly. It’s nothing fancy, and it’s not meant to be.

Value 3/5 Portion sizes are decent all round. Their rice bowls have shrunk though. Shrinkflation in action. They used to be a better value place to eat. But their prices have definitely gone up over the past 1 year, in proportion to their input costs.

What a disappointing experience! We arrived promptly at 19:00, being the first ones there, but had to wait until 20:40 to receive our food, while others who arrived later were served their meals earlier. It was my birthday, and we even entrusted them with our cake to serve. Since we were sitting outside, and it was getting quite cold, we left before we could enjoy the cake. Furthermore, the food was bland, poorly seasoned, and dry. Many of us left our meals untouched, particularly because one dish was as salty as the sea, drenched in salty soy sauce.

The staff didn't offer any apologies but instead provided excuses and lies. They claimed our order was only placed at 19:52, even though we had been the first customers since the opening. Don’t be fooled by the menu, while it might seem like there’s only one vegetarian option at first glance, TopThai in Marbella is actually a fantastic spot for vegans and vegetarians! The staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and more than happy to adapt many dishes to suit vegan diets on the spot. It was a really pleasant surprise.

The food itself is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with that authentic Thai taste. But what really makes the experience special is the team, everyone is lovely, welcoming, and highly professional. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience.
