This restaurant left me confused. They advertise as an American restaurant but they have over 100 UK flags and one USA flag by the bathroom only.
I agree that the menu could look American. They make an effort in their presentation to make it look big and saucy as a good stereotype restaurant who owner probably has never been in the USA.
Breakfast ends at 1pm and that includes all the pancake dishes that they offer. When asked if they had any breakfast available after 1pm they said that only the dish called “A very English affair” is served all day. So the American restaurant only serve English breakfast the whole day. Got it!
Here is the deal. Although food is not American, you will find some touches that will bring you back to it. And their flavor is not bad. I enjoyed my Hollywood sandwich but I don’t think I would find a boiled egg sandwich ever in real Hollywood.
The BBQ burger was too much with runny sauce all over the bun which made it soggy and impossible to eat.
Their regular burger had a great flavor although their fries get an B-
They do have a vegan menu which is a plus but I don’t think the use vegan ingredients so it would be more of a vegetarian menu.
Price is very competitive for the area.
Also referring to their pancakes, they have four dishes. One with Nutella, the other one with sour cream, the third one with lemon and the fourth dish with fruit. I have never seen an American eating Nutella, sour cream or lemon pancakes.
Also confused about the service. One speaks Spanish but the other one doesn’t want to but with the table right next to us he can have long Spanish conversations.
Waiter had black nails which wasn’t very attractive when he brought our plates.
Not a bad place if you understand that this is a British restaurant playing an...
Read moreTerrible information flow to the customer....!! We called and booked a table for 12 o'clock, 3 people. We would like some lunch, which we mentioned in the phone..!! At around 11.30 we wrote a Facebook message to them, asking if they had the full menu card and the answer was Yes! Perfect....when we arrived at 12.00 we ordered some water and smoothies and the waiter gave us the (full) menu cards... When we ordered our food, we were told (first now....?!?!?) That we could ONLY order breakfast?!?! Lunch started at 13.00?!?! Why the heck didn't we have any information about this earlier in this flow...??? Now, we didn't want to wait one full hour...just to wait for the full menu... The restaurant had at least 3 chances to tell us that, then we wouldn't have booked the table in the first place because we had a business meeting later. And why the heck...didn't the waiter tell us anything about only serving breakfast - when we arrived - and at the same time why the heck ...give us a full menu!?!? The most annoying thing was, that we have made the order for the drinks and had to pay them for that, but that will be the last time ever, that this restaurant will get a cent of our...
Read moreI have visited Yanx a few times and unfortunately had the same unpleasant experience twice regarding their pricing. They have a large menu displayed outside the restaurant, showcasing the dishes and prices. However, both times after ordering and receiving the bill, I discovered that the prices charged were higher than what was shown on the outside menu.
When I brought this up with the staff, I was told that the owner refuses to update or remove the menu outside, despite it being misleading. This is clearly a bait-and-switch tactic to lure customers in with false prices, which is not only unfair but also dishonest.
I strongly advise future customers to be aware of this tricky situation and double-check the prices before committing to an order. It's unfortunate that a restaurant with potential chooses to engage in such deceptive practices. Hopefully, the management will take responsibility and correct this issue soon. Until then, proceed...
