Bsweet - Coffee & Bakery — Restaurant in Mijas

So so rude in here - popped in for a takeaway coffee. The staff straight away are rude and unwelcoming. A staff member shoved past my buggy and woke my baby up, then when I was waiting for my coffee all the staff were arguing. I waited ages, with the people behind me in the queue going ahead of me. When I politely asked when my order would be done because everyone else behind me had been and gone she shouted at me “oh well I saw their orders first so they get served first so you have to wait” and then started shouting in Spanish behind my back. When I got my coffee it was cold. The pastries are rubbish frozen pasties that aren’t worth the money.

There is a lovely traditional coffee shop 1 minute walk away on the beach where it’s much cheaper, the pastries are freshly cooked and the staff are really friendly and welcoming - give this place a miss and go...

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2 out of 5) Bsweet looks nice inside, but the experience was disappointing. The staff didn’t smile or show any friendliness — not very welcoming. I ordered a “large coffee with milk” but received a small cup with just a few sips of lukewarm coffee. Turns out, that was their largest size. Very disappointing, especially considering the high (tourist) prices.

The pastry was fine, but overall the quality and quantity don’t match the cost. The toilets weren’t clean either — possibly due to visitors, but that’s no excuse not to check and clean them regularly.

Advice to the owner: Train your staff to be polite, kind, and friendly. Increase the cup sizes and improve coffee quality. Keep the toilets clean and checked.

A decent bakery with some very good products. Perfect place if you are looking for a quick coffee and a sweet treat. Make sure to visit early in the morning though, because they run out of freshly baked inventory very quickly.

Where it gets a little worse is the table service. I visited several times for breakfast and the table service was next to nonexistent. Dishes were served without any cutlery, tables and orders have been mixed up and the quality of the pancakes and waffles was not on par with the pricing.
