a disaster. Terrace closed because apparently closed from 9/30/24. Very loud music in the restaurant, Aqua ordered in advance... long wait here, although there were max. 10 guests present. The usual, attentive staff not there, ordered a bottle of rose... I asked for a glass of red wine, which came ice cold... When I complained, I was told that it was common practice throughout Spain to serve ice cold red wine (no comment!)... over half an hour of waiting, then my starter and main course came at the same time as the main course ordered by my table companion. During the meal, the glasses were neither refilled nor cleared away promptly later... At the end, the empty plates were still there when the espressos were placed next to them... and the change for the bill was not returned either. It is clear that we did not tip a single euro here. Incidentally, a glass of red wine was ordered at the next table and a bottle was brought. Where was the waiter's head... no idea about catering? The music gets louder now and then. It's a shame that the service has become so bad, I've only ever known exquisite politeness there...and which restaurant owner leaves his guests so dissatisfied because of an ice-cold red wine and tells such fairy tales?? The question about the boss...he's coming here in April was unfortunately not profitable either, hence the bad review. Today...
Read moreMy husband and I went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from a Swiss couple who have a place in our resort. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we had a lovely table with an ocean view. Our waiter, I believe Angelo, was very pleasant, professional and provided great advice on the menu. We started with the spicy shrimp and Caesar salad, which we shared and both were excellent. The spicy shrimp were sautéed in olive oil, garlic, parley, cherry tomatoes and maybe red chilies or something but not hot spicy and served with delicious toasted pita bread wedges to soak up the sauce. The Caesar salad was not traditional but the fresh crisp lettuce and radicchio topped with thin slices of Parmesan cheese were tossed with a creamy garlic dressing. My husband had the house made pappardelle with truffles and I had a taste which was very good. I was super happy with my home made tagliatelle and seafood, and especially that the squid was well cooked i.e., not chewy. Had a glass of Prosecco to start and I had the house Chardonnay which was quite good. Ended with a scoop of chocolate and one of strawberry gelato, the chocolate was for moi. Overall a super relaxing evening with very good food and...
