TERRIBLE FOOD, BAD SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE SCARY! Decided to try a local restaurant to support local business and so wished we hadn’t bothered…. Calamares were cooked from frozen and sour tasting as the oil was obviously old oil. Then had lemon sole which had to be returned to kitchen as even from frozen they couldn’t manage to cook it through. Vegetables were oily too. Husband had ‘frozen’ pizza which was absolutely average. When the fish came back, yes it was ‘re-cooked’ with more garlic thrown on for good measure - yuck!!!! And they claim to be Italian!!! On top of dreadful food was a dreadful and frightening atmosphere where some young lads came outside and smashed bottles in what looked like some sort of protest. Table next to us left rapidly as they had young daughter with them and were feeling worried that it could have gone worse…. Who knows these days? On top of all that we had bad service that was nothing short of rude. When we tried to give honest feedback about the Calamares the waiter/owner got really aggressive, had no interest whatsoever in feedback and just kept thrusting the card machine in front of us to pay and go basically. This restaurant (if can be called such a pleasantry) is definitely one to...
Read moreWe walked in about 9:00pm. Karaoke next door at the Irish pub was blasting out. We sat closer to bar vs. adjacent to shared wall with Irish pub.. At about 9:30pm it quieted down a bit. Staff are attentive and caring. We shared a salad with warm goat cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. The house wine was a nice Rose and after a glass we ordered a bottle. I ordered the Fruit Di mare with red sauce and a bit of the white sauce mixed. The temperature was perfect and seafood delicious with a touch of cinnamon which was different. My husband had the sea bass. A bit difficult due to the bones, but obviously fresh. We rarely order desert but decided on the cheesecake and cookie and ice cream. Cookie was a bit disappointing but I enjoyed with the scoop of ice cream and light chocolate sauce. Very reasonable meal and...
Read moreThe worst restaurant in Calahonda. I ordered a hamburger, they brought me a hamburger with cheddar cheese from Lidl, the one that you buy at 1€ a pack of 10. Tasted like plasti. The bun was cheap as well, the beef was not Angus. The fries were frozen fries with a bit of salt, no sauces included. The tomatoes were so hard and green on the inside. Overall a horrible experience. I suggest you wait a little more for the Chinese restaurant or the Indian one down the street to open, they deserve all the recognition. Slow Boat and Little India! They have amazing food. I am really disappointed by the prices in this restaurant. I could make a better...
