Asian Mister Food — Restaurant in Mijas

Terrible service a few days ago. We arrived (only 3 of us) and it was not too busy at that time, though there was a table laid out for a birthday party of around 14 people.

We ordered then noticed several other tables who'd arrived after us had their food and we still did not.

There was a further wait then my starter was delivered but not the other people's on our table. Then another starter was delivered on it's own and some minutes later, the final starter.

The birthday party arrived and then we were effectively abandoned and waited 40 more minutes after our starters had arrived for the first of our table's main meals to arrive. No sign of the other two and by the time the 2nd one arrived, the first person had finished their meal. Same for the 3rd, it arrived after the 2nd person had finished and was so salty, I couldn't finish it and we all just wanted to get out of there.

Never known anything like it there and we've been going to Asian Mr Food for years. Not anymore after the way we were treated, we won't be going back...

The food was good but not the service, when we arrived the waiter with the glasses came over but no welcome just very brusque, he took our orders starters and main courses we got our starters all right but a plate of satay chicken skewers were left on the table before we had finished our starters, we presumed our main courses plus rice would follow shortly but didn't. My wife decided to start eating the chicken satay as it was getting cold but myself and our friend John were left sitting there for ages. When I eventually got the waiter's attention he was very rude and said my wife's dish was also a starter so she had to try and eat it with no rice before it got cold. Eventually a lady waiter arrived with our dishes and was much more pleasant she brought the remainder of my wife's dish back to the kitchen to heat it up. So we were happy with the quality and value of the food but the service and manner of the waiter with the glasses would stop us from ever going back...

We went here last night for a table of two. The food was delicious, it was exactly what we wanted in the midst of all the Spanish tapas around us. Further to note, the staff were friendly and they work so incredibly hard. It’s clear they need more staff, so please keep this in mind when you go. I see many reviews about waiting long, and I do agree it takes a while. It may be a generational difference, but hearing the staff be scolded and shouted at by others was wat affected the dinner, not the waiting times. Please remember everyone there is doing their best.

All in all it’s a good place to go to, but just keep in mind you may be waiting a bit longer than at...
