T 42 restaurant — Restaurant in Mijas

We ate here on our last evening in Calahonda and it was by far the best restaurant experience on our one-week trip.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let it fool you to walk past this gem of a restaurant.

All the dishes we had were excellent. Everything was fresh and delicious.

The mini burgers are easy to eat for younger kids and our 9-year old said that it was the best meal he's eaten in a restaurant.

The smoothies were incredibly tasty and the sangria with fresh fruits was the best we have tasted on our trips in the Mediterranean area.

Besides the delicious and reasonably priced food the atmosphere and the service in the restaurant is something that we'll remember for a long time and will definitely bring us back to this place, should we ever visit...

Where do I start. Attended here on account of the previous reviews. The owner is a gentleman. It is a family run business. Shout out to his wife, the chef who does all the cooking. Ordered 2 x chicken kebab, ribs and rice and fish and chips. The chips tasted home made and dare I say like proper chippy chips. The meat literally fell off the bones on the ribs and was both juicy and delicious. The kebabs where actually massive. One skewer was more than enough for one person unless you have an enormous appetite. Had a selection of home made tapas to start. All amazing too. Meatballs, potato and garlic and chicken wings. We are sad to say that we found this amazing little restaurant on our last day. The food selection is wide and varied. Our sangria came with a spoon so we could eat the infused fruit - excellent flavors. We selected a variety of dishes: sausages, pork with mushrooms, fish & chips, calamari, sea bass. We wanted to lick our plates. The side salad is amazing. The homemade sauces, delicious. The atmosphere: welcoming and friendly with no hint of urgency to clear the table. Desserts: so good! We enjoyed apple pie with custard, Rafaello cake, and crispy chocolate bar (fried) with ice cream (5+ stars for fried dessert!). Sinfully delicious.
