Lovely place with great staff. Couldn't do enough to satisfy my craving for steak. I am a bit of a steak freak and travel all over in search of the best. They have their own dry age fridge in the entrance and they calved up a good size portion for me, around 500/600g. Meat was really nice, the dry age was definitely in the taste. Now, there is a caveat to this. When it was cut from the rack and shown to me, it was a lovely piece of rib eye on the bone, however, when it was served it was lightly seared, cut into strips on a wooden board and a small gas burner hot plate presented to cook myself. The issue with this is there is some good size fat on those now thin slices that you can't really render down without cooking the meat well done. So I had to trim the fat off in order to cook the meat rare which is how I like it. So unfortunately I lost some valuable taste from the rendered fat. If that cut was cooked over flames, to a rare/medium rare and left in the bone and to rest for 10 minutes it would have been right up there in my opinion. I'm still giving this place 5 stars as the service was amazing, they cared about the meat, including getting it to room temp first before the sear etc. they knew the age of the cow/bull, where it came from and exactly how many days it's aged. My gripe with cooking it sliced is my gripe and most people will love it, however, if you are a true steak freak, you'll understand what I am saying. My wife had fish of the day and all the trimmings and she loved every bit of it. I highly recommend this place and stand by the five star for venue, staff and kindness and yes the meat....it's just a shame they don't cook whole over flames, however, that might be a Gran Canaria thing as I have seen a lot of steak places doing the same. I am still struggling to find a better steak than a small Argentinian steak restaurant in Lanzarote near Playa Blanca, now that, is amazing, see my other reviews on that one.

Thank you Fuego Lento,...

This restaurant is really charming, tucked away in the old square of Puerto Rico. It’s a great choice for meat lovers, offering a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service—we were attended by three different staff members, all very professional and friendly. For starters, we had croquettes de jamón, which were very tasty, and fried eggplant with palm honey. However, the latter didn’t quite convince us—the honey didn’t seem like real palm honey (which is usually darker), and the batter was too thick, overpowering the taste of the eggplant. We also had the classic papas arrugadas, served with a mojo sauce that had less garlic than usual—a pleasant surprise. For the main course, we ordered two house burgers (Fuego Lento)—delicious, with precise-cooked meat and crispy fries on the side. We also tried the picaña, a flavorful triangular beef cut with a layer of fat, which we could finish cooking to our preference on a hot stone brought to the table (see photo). Overall, it was a good experience, but not everyone at the table loved everything, which is why we gave it 3 stars despite the great service. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes and leave an...

This is a breaking news bulletin there’s a new top restaurant on the island Fuego Lento a beautiful traditional family run unbelievable establishment….

If you are looking for a special meal, or if your a just a foodie or if you just want top class unbelievably tasting food, do yourself a favour may be slightly out the way a short walk from mercadona at motor grande but you won’t be disappointed I promise.

We had garlic bread with cheese, mushrooms with Iberica ham and cheese and cidered chistorras with caramelised onion for starters they were all 10 out of 10 for taste portion size and presentation.

Dad and I fancied burgers I had the Jack Daniel’s double burger it was perfect there is no other word for it, he had the Fuego Lento burger again this was unbelievable best burger he had ever tasted - direct quote. mum had “Fuego Lento” Fillet steak and stated possibly one of the best she had ever tasted.

100/10 for service, ambience, decor, taste, general experience… I promise you will not be disappointed it’s a must visit.. very relaxed away from the hustle and bustle of any of the centres, Perfect dining...
