Mercadona — Local services in Mogán

This is the supermarket to go if you’re looking for store brand average to good quality products. If you’re into branded products then avoid, it can be annoying when you’re looking for top whiskey and see a mercadona branded one. They hop on board and with food trends quite fast, ie mochi ice creams or anti Covid spray and create new and convenient package.

Apparently they are committed to the environment too.

If you’re lazy and like to pay extra they sell a wide variety do pre-cut veggies and meats otherwise I would recommend local farmers market for 1/3 the price.

It has a key selection of frozen and non frozen foods which tend to be good. What I notice is primarily they avoid using palm oil #1 cancer in branded foods. There employees do get quite the benefits and they close on holiday so you won’t see frustrated workers here.

All in all a good place to buy store brand label food.

Good quality products at excellent prices, we had a full trolleyload and it only cost us 123€. The staff are very helpful and there's never very long to wait for another till to open.

As with everything, prices have risen astronomically and value for money is no longer important to them.

Most of their prepacked fruit and veg is out of date, although I have found their grapes to be of a better quality than other stores

Their delivery policy has changed. Whereas before, we used to leave 1 trolley to be scanned at a later time and paid for the items we wanted to take home immediately, now EVERYTHING has to be scanned at the till. This is VERY inconvenient for customers who are invalids or pensioners. It also causes longer and slower queues at the checkout.
