We have been coming & recommending here to So many people for the past 4 years but after last couple of times on this visit I’m not sure if the food is enough to bring me back or recommend it to others.
Food is amazing, location and ambience fabulous.
Our friend booked this for group of 18 1st week here out of which 7 were kids .. they ended up taking the kids table off us and leaving 7 kids on a table for 2 when they were done, keeping in mind we had 5 paying families in total.
We went again last night with friends that had never been & they gave us a table for 6 .. 4 adults and 4 kids with kids being separated as kids want to sit certain place .. I was disgusted this happened again and they didn’t care at all when I told them it wasn’t on. So be careful booking tables for large groups. And always pre book.
Then they literally threw the food on the table not asking what was for who.. it was horrible like they wanted us to get out !!!! I actually showed my annoyance and the mains were put down slightly better. I have always sang their praises but I think after last night I don’t feel the same. They don’t care at all.
Food is not enough to bring people back they need to more attentive & respectful of customers & also their kids. Customer service is key in getting customers back not sure they care for it anymore.
Shame really as I did...
Read moreWe visited Taj Palace whilst being on holiday back end of August. Let me start by saying that we had not booked but they were easy to accomodate my daughter and I. The waiter gave us our menus, but both were in Spanish. Nice that they thougth we were both Spanish but sadly my Spanish is not that good! Regardless he was quick to offer us English ones, however my daughter, fluent in Spanish kept hers. This surprised the waiter, but he was so pleasant. Majid was taking to her in Spanish and the whole order was placed between the 2 of them. The food was good, a little bland for me, but overall is was well balanced, presented and the portion sizes were good, as well as being priced reasonably. The drinks selection was also good. Our waiter Majid was well mannered, spoke good English and courteous. He came back to check how we were and also engaged in conversation with us. This to me is very important as good cusotmer service is something I don't aways see. I would say overall he is a credit to Taj Palace as service and after service is just as important as the food. He also called me a Cutie Pie which brought a smile to my face albiet I think it was for...
Read moreWe visited twice during our most recent trip and can clearly say this was the best Indian food we had. The restaurant overlooks the magic fountain at Mogan mall and is beautifully decorated giving it that premium feel when you dine there.
The presentation of the food was top notch and it all tasted divine, there wasn't one element of it that was a let down. However while most dishes are priced on par with the other Indian restaurants we visited, some are more expensive and this was reflected in the bill each time we visited.
Even so I would still recommend a visit here as the food was fantastic, the atmosphere is always good and the restaurant is busy even during the quiet season which is a testament to how good the food is. The chicken in the Madras and Vindaloo literally melted in my mouth, whilst the spice in both dishes was on point if you are a lover of hot and spicy food. You will definitely not be disappointed by the food here and...
