Really lovely bar /restaurant and the food was delicious. I have given the service 1 star. But please, this is due to 1 particular waitress!! We had reserved a table for 2 and we're greeted by a lovely waiter and the chef . But the girl who actually served us was so unfriendly. We asked for wine recommendations...now if you look at the place, they have a great selection. She didn't discuss anything about any of the wine, brought a bottle out, I wasn't too sure about it...but I could tell she wasn't interested and wasn't going to suggest another! Never smiled, never asked if we wanted desert or coffee. Infact, made us feel pretty unwelcome. Luckily, the initial waiter we met was lovely on arrival and departure. For the first time ever, we left no tip! So, to the waitress with the long dark hair and a face like a bull dog chewing a thistle. Smile at the customers, offer recommendations, check they are ok and the food is nice. The usual waitress behaviour!
Don't let her out you off... hopefully the owners will read this review and find a...
Read moreCame here for lunch on a Wednesday. Ordered olives, provolone & avocado and Canarian cheese for starters, all which were lovely. For mains we had the ribs which were really good, fell off the bone, really tender. We also tried the number 50 burger which was again, very nice. The mozzarella salad had a very strange dressing, very sweet and overly citrusy. Potato wedges seasoned well. For puddings we tried the brownie, chocolate fondant cake and profiteroles. All nice but portion sizes a bit strange - only got 4 small profiteroles with a massive scoop of vanilla ice cream and lots of squirty cream as well. Drinks wise, they don't do ciders here, but that's not unexpected in this part of the country. Red wine sangria was really nice. Red wine by the glass is served chilled, again not unexpected here. There was only us and one other group of people eating when we went, but it was about 3pm so can't really comment on what the atmosphere is like at other times! Nice...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant during our trip, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of our holiday. Every single dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented.
We had a variety of dishes including perfectly tender pork medallions, melt-in-your-mouth ribs glazed in a rich, flavorful sauce, and a slow-cooked pork shank that was fall-off-the-bone delicious. The sides of grilled vegetables and crispy potatoes were the perfect complement — simple, fresh, and full of flavor.
The atmosphere was relaxed but refined, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. You could tell that care and pride went into every plate.
If you’re in the area and enjoy top-quality meat dishes, this place is an absolute must. Without a doubt, the best food we had all holiday — we’re still...
