Taste Bistro Gran Canaria — Restaurant in Mogán

We came here based on a recommendation, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. We were a group of six and started with the ceviche and chèvre salad. The ceviche was essentially a mush of avocado and a smelly white fish. The mango purée tasted like baby food, with absolutely no texture to balance the dish.

For mains, we ordered burgers, Caesar salad, and beef tartare. It was a fiasco from start to finish. The dishes arrived one by one, with long waits in between. My mother’s steak tartare only arrived after two incorrect servings—first a beef taco, then tuna tartare.

My father’s Caesar salad came with fries, but the chicken was inedible, and the fries only arrived after he had finished half of his salad.

My wife’s burger was the worst of all—it was clearly made from a deep-frozen patty and was still partially frozen, with actual ice inside.

The food was absolutely horrible. The waitstaff, while apologetic, attempted to compensate us with a laughable 10% discount. It felt insulting given the terrible experience.

Came to eat and drink some, but the whole place was a total disaster. After wait a while the waiter came to take our order. Two chicken burgers, bottle of white wine and two cokes.

After some 10 minutes or so waiter came back to say that they dont have the wine we ordered and she showed us another wine from the list they had and accepted that. After some 30 minutes passed the waiter came back to say they dont have that wine either. At that point we said to skip the wine and asked if our burgers were coming and she said they are. Some 15 mins more we finaly got our cokes. Some more time passed and the waiter came back to ask if we had ordered fish burgers. At that point we had have enough of the place. We said to skip the food and bring the bill for the cokes.

What an utter dissapointment the whole place was. Almost 1h 30mins and they managed to bring us two cokes and mess the rest of our order totally. Never again and thanks...

First; Remember to book. Second; best guacamole I've ever tasted 😋 Go for some extras from the snack menu. Grilled focaccia and homemade nachos with guacamole pleased us. Warm and friendly service throughout. Wonderful surprise with easy going live music trubador. The sunset view is sure to elevate any moment. We had the crispy chicken burger and the truffel burger as a main course. Enjoyed it with the house white and the house red. Tried both the volcano potatoes and standard fries. Simply put, everything we ordered tasted great. Without doubt the most pleasing dining experience we had in Arguineguin, after eating out every night for a week. Even though it was "only" burgers.
