SPORT BAR EL ENCUENTRO — Restaurant in Mogán

Grumpy old man. Cannot operate his own poor setup. After waiting 10 mins to get TV setup and using 4 controllers, finally it came on, during the F1, I decided we would have lunch, wish I'd waited, pretty poor quality. Anyway, on several occasions the F1 cutout due to the owner messing about with remotes or turning another TV on and impacting our viewing, in the end it got to much, crowd was building for an Irish game so 10 laps from end he put their game on and decided to square upto me, and raising his back hand to me as if he was going to hit me, I wanted to put him to sleep but felt sorry for him, told him to Foff, I was going to walk but paid the tab to never return again! Could go on writing more but haven't the energy for this dive! Straight to the point. Saw him a few years previous take a ball of kids playing footy down there, nasty old man took their ball, small...

Wouldn't recommend. €2.50 for a caña is expensive in my opinion, especially for such a basic bar. They were showing the same game on 4 screens all using what I suspect were illegal streams as none of them synced up and were constantly cutting out. On top of that my bill was €15.50, I paid by card and he took my card away rather than bringing the reader to me which is often a red flag. When he handed me my receipt he'd charged €19.50 which could have been a genuine mistake but I suspect they do it often hoping people who've had a few beers won't notice. Great family run bar with very reasonably priced snack food and drinks. Always really accomodating if you support a particular football team and will try to show the match if you make the owner aware that a game is on. My son and I spent many hours here on our holiday last summer and were always made to feel welcome by the father and daughter team. In fact we are returning to Mogan soon and Iook forward to catching up with the owner...
