Hong Kong — Restaurant in Mojácar

We ate here last night. We ordered starters and only half of them arrived before the main courses.

The biggest problem was trying to order what we wanted. The lady taking the order, who I assume was one of the owners kept saying 'no' when we wanted vegetables with either blackbean sauce or satay sauce,

We are both vegan, and she wanted us to have vegetables with curry sauce which we didn't want. It felt like I had to argue for what I wanted. when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant?

She kept saying 'vegetables with satay sauce not very nice.. have with curry sauce instead'

I've had it before in loads of restaurants around the world, they did beef in satay sauce on the menu but she didn't want me to have it with just vegetables?

It took about 4 or 5 attempts to get what we wanted and it felt really uncomfortable having to insist that this is what we wanted. We pointed out there was also a fly on the prawn crackers and instead of replacing them the same lady proceeded to chase the fly around the basket with her nails and finally catch it but left us with the prawn crackers.

It all just felt a bit weird. The food that we eventually got was full of flavour, but it made us feel a little uncomfortable having to insist what sauce we had with our vegetables.

We were not being awkward as she was happy to add curry sauce to the vegetables which was not on the menu but any other sauce seemed to be 'not very nice'.

The evening was weird and...

Two of us went for dinner one evening recently, after a 30 minute wait our order was taken, again another 20 minute wait until the starter came out 2 mini tiny spring rolls, very small portions after the starter another 25 minutes wait the rice came out with nothing else after a further wait we were given a very watery dish with a few vegetables and a few pieces of rubbery processed cubed chicken we were very disappointed to say the least and still hungry the bill was 42 euros I made a complaint but got nowhere as they did not want to listen we had a horrendous experience and definitely would never recommened the hong kong or ever go there again, the people on the table opposite us on leaving came and spoke to us and said the food was absolutely tasteless very poor value for money and they were disgusted with the service and were never going to return this is a 100% accurate factual detailed...

What a disappointment ! Visited this restaurant earlier this week as our regular "go to" chinese in Mojacar was closed.The lady who served us was welcoming and chatty hence the two stars. Food was less than mediocre, unfortunately. We ordered beef ribs for starters followed by 2 chow mein dishes. Beef ribs were just that .....ribs with very little and tasteless meat. The "special chow mein" and chicken main courses were lacking any flavour with ( again) very little meat and were both very small portions that were incredibly greasy. Prawn crackers at €2 appeared ( not specifically ordered.) I totally understand the difficulties that restaurants face currently but please make the food you serve edible!. Unfortunately we did not read the most recent reviews before we ate there. Big mistake on our part. Sadly we won't...
