Megabici Bike & Coffee — Restaurant in Mont-roig del Camp

Terrible experience. Rude and slow staff. We asked to clean the table after the previous customers, no one even moved to do that. Had to sit at a dirty table with a bunch of garbage on the sides. Avocado toast is just a joke. We always have breakfast in brunch restaurants all around the world and this is the first time I see such a disrespect for the customer. I would be ashamed to serve this. Pathetic piece of completely unripe avocado, which even a fork can't penetrate, not sprinkled with any spices. In the end we left this toast and asked not to include it in the bill. Coffee, by the way, is also not the best, since we expected good quality specialty. What we got was a very weak latte, not a cappuccino. No one at the cashier even apologized for such service. Overall, our rating is 1 star. Would not recommend a visit!

UPDATE after the owner's response: I understand that with your answer you are trying to justify yourself in the eyes of those who will read this, instead of accepting criticism and apologizing for the service. You are trying to find someone to blame everywhere except yourself. Regarding your accusations: 1) We asked the waitress if we could move to the sofa after it was vacated by a woman with two children, to which we received a positive answer. 2) "We spent the whole morning sitting at the computer" is exactly 1h 15 min from the moment we entered your cafe until we left, half an hour of which we waited for our miserable toast. 3) Half of the toast was on my husband's plate and the rest was on mine, since my husband asked me to try THIS. Bikes and Coffee - what a a great combination! I love both and I come here every time I am in Miami Platja. The coffee is the best in town from my perspective. I mean the "café con leche" which for me is the same as a cappuccino in Italy (please don't bust me for saying this!). The coffee is strong but not too strong and it is not too hot which is important to me. It shows that they know how much heat the milk really needs and from my experience you need to feel the milk when you steam it, which is what they do. And the patio outside is great to sit and dwell. With tables and couches and shade! Inside is great too. I love this place and these people, they have become like friends to me. I like the selection of bikes, the clothes, and the spare parts, there is something to be found for everyone that has a road, gravel, or mountain bike or plans to get one. Note: that's just a very old used bike the on the hanger, not one of the great new ones they have...

I‘m sure they know all about bikes but coffee isn‘t their specialty. What you get is a steaming hot broth with a lot of milk and chocolate powder. If you advertise yourself like a third wave coffee shop, why not put some love in the product

I‘m sorry for the harsh comment and only one star but i stand by it for that specific coffee. You get a half bad coffee around every corner and don’t blink, but if you are a coffee lover and expect something different this time, you will be disappointed. I‘m not talking about latte art but about decent craftsmanship. A good product is more than the sum of all parts and it makes me mad, when people sell something professionally but don‘t know what they are doing. A good training of employees would fix that easily.
