Beautiful Location, Terrible Service

We visited this restaurant in the afternoon, hoping to enjoy a nice dinner while watching the sunset by the beach. The place looked cozy and inviting from the outside, with a good crowd that made it seem promising.

Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. When we asked for the menu, a server wordlessly handed us a card to scan a QR code instead of providing any explanation. Although they clearly have printed menus (which we saw later), they didn’t offer them to us for some reason.

After scanning the QR code, I asked another waiter if the options displayed on my phone were the full menu. Instead of answering politely, he grabbed my phone and curtly said, “Yes, all this,” before walking away. We already felt uncomfortable but decided to stay and give it a chance since we were looking forward to dining outside.

When I tried to order a smoothie, listed on the menu, the waiter informed me that smoothies were only available in the morning. Again, no explanation or guidance, just a dismissive attitude. The waitstaff seemed uninterested and gave off the impression that they didn’t enjoy their work, which made us feel unwelcome.

It seems this spot caters more to locals who just want to drink and aren’t too concerned about service. Unfortunately, the poor customer service ruined the ambiance for us. My husband ordered a glass of wine, and after that, we decided to leave.

We were really disappointed because the location and setting had so much potential, but the attitude of the staff completely spoiled the experience. Definitely not recommended if you’re looking for a welcoming or...

We had one day in Montril and chose to spend it here. When we arrived we had terrible service and experience. I think because we were Australian and didn't speak Spanish. Even though they did speak English, the main women was unnecessarily rude. Also even though the restaurant and beach beds were not full they tried to turn us away because we had no reservations. Again maybe just because she didn't like us but might be worth getting a reservation to make it easier.

We were going to just leave and walk to one of the other places but then got a new waiter and he completely changed our experience around, he was kind and helpful and guided us to choose the local food. Highly recommend getting the octopus, it was expensive but absolutely worth it. We also got the tuna and mango which was so fresh and delicious. We were full but honestly considered getting the octopus again. We didn't catch his name but he absolutely made our day and if we ever get back to Spain we would come here just because of him. Lovely spot...

⭐ 1 estrella (porque no se puede poner menos) Nuestra experiencia en este beach club ha sido decepcionante.

Al llegar, en recepción nos dijeron que teníamos una reserva distinta a la que habíamos hecho. Les explicamos que habíamos llamado por teléfono y nos habían confirmado otra cosa. Por suerte, ahí no pusieron problema para cambiárnosla, pero quedó claro que no se enteran de nada.

Habíamos reservado una opción que incluía bebida y comida. Nos ofrecieron la bebida al llegar y dijimos que sí. Supuestamente nos la traían a las hamacas, pero tuvimos que ir tres veces a reclamarla. Incluso llegamos a llamar por teléfono desde las propias hamacas. Nos decían que ya la estaban preparando, que fuéramos a por ella… pero era mentira. La camarera ni la estaba poniendo ni sabía qué bebidas eran. Finalmente, tras más de una hora desde que llegamos (entramos a la 13:15 y no nos dieron nada hasta las 14:20,estando a pleno sol), conseguimos las bebidas y no deshidratarnos… y porque entramos nosotras mismas a por ello.

A las 15:15 entramos al restaurante a comer. Nos habían dicho que la mesa sería dentro,que nos la reservaban, pero al entrar nos dijeron de ponernos en una mesa al sol, a lo que dijimos que estaba reservada dentro, entonces nos ponen en una mesa altísima para 7 personas (éramos tres). Cuando quedó libre una mesa baja, pedimos cambiarnos y nos dijeron que sí. Pero más tarde vino otro camarero a decirnos con una borderia extrema que porque nos habiamos cambiado, a pesar de que otro camarero,Pablo, que era el que nos tomo nota,nos había dado permiso.

Tardaron 40 minutos en tomarnos nota, y luego también un buen rato en traer la comida. Pedimos pan, y hubo que pedirlo dos veces más para que lo trajeran. Pedimos tres veces otra bebida, dos veces cuchillos, tres veces la cuenta, y la tarta de postre también tres veces.

En total, estuvimos dentro desde las 15:15 hasta las 18:00. Y como broche final: en el baño no había papel higiénico, lo pedimos y nos dijeron que lo llevaban… pero cuando nos fuimos, seguía sin reponer.

Recalcar, que si algún ingrediente está crudo, deberian ponerlo, ya que mi amiga embarazada, pidio tacos de ventresca y era ventresca cruda, y eso que antes de pedirlo le pregunto al camarero, Pablo, los ingredientes, y no lo dijo.

La cara de la encargada(supongo) era de asco y amargacion desde primera hora. En este trabajo es importante la vocacion, si no te gusta estar de cara al publico, vete a trabajar a una oficina, por ejemplo.

Un sitio bonito por fuera, pero con un servicio totalmente desorganizado, mal atendido y lleno de excusas. Mucho postureo y poca profesionalidad....
