We went on the guided tour on this occasion but have previously been there just to eat and drink.
It was a really enjoyable evening, every member of staff we interacted with was great and appropriate sense of humour.
The tour was interesting and well explained. As there was a free bar after we got to try several more of their lovely beers. And I have to say the hemp IPA is lovely. A great selection of beers were on offer during the tour too. We knew from our previous visit how good the good food was but after trying an even wider selection after the tour of the brewery will now be adding entrecote to our must have things to eat along with the nachos on our next visit. Will not relate what our little gifts were after the tour (alongside the box of beers) as would not want to spoil the surprise for anyone else thinking of doing it - it excellent value!!
Great to see a small independent brewery doing so well and seeing service staff happy in their work. If you are nearby pop in and if you do not have a designated driver then book accommodation nearby so you can make the most of their...
Read moreAs a huge fan of craft beer I've been to several craft breweries around Europe, but never have I had such appalling service. The waiter was talking to us in a very condescending manner, which made us feel unwelcome from the start. We wanted to order something to eat but we were told that the kitchen was overworked. Yet a person who came after us (who seemed to be an acquaintance of said waiter) was able to order something to eat. It was only after that (20 minutes later) that the waiter asked us if we wanted something to eat, but that it would take at least 40 minutes to get a burger. The beers themselves were also disappointing. We traveled the whole way from Alicante just to visit the "most well known" brewery in Murcia, sadly it was a waste of our time and there are better places to spend your money on good beer. One final note worth mentioning is that the place is very far away from the centre and difficult to reach. No interest in coming back and will not recommend Yakka brewery to any...
Read moreTo begin with, this brewery is situated very far out and is thereby difficult to reach. Upon arrival, we were told that we had to have a booking. We were subsequently allowed to drink (not eat) by the bar. We had a few beers, but they were all underwhelming, especially considering the price. We asked to have some snacks and decided on the spicy nuts. An incredibly tiny portion (the one usually served for free with drinks) was served for 1.20€. They turned out to be unpleasantly spicy. The guy who greeted us then asked us how it was going and we told him the nuts were very spicy, to which he replied “I told you”. Such unnecessary rudeness. A few minutes later, he told us that we could order food but that the burgers would be at least 40 minutes - as if he was trying to pull some strange cuck move on his customers. Needless to say, we refused his ‘offer’....
