Sala Revolver — Restaurant in Murcia

Yesterday we (a group of friends) visited Sala Revolver for the umpteenth time, and it was definitely the last.

Upon arrival, after nicely being asked to move out of the way of the entrance by the bouncers, we did so. After this there was a minor misunderstanding from an expression one of our party members made and due to this the bouncer tells us that 3 of us "aren't going inside".

Whilst trying to reason with this gentleman I noticed a violent tone and you could see we were getting nowhere with the matter. Two of us that were "allowed in" entered to acquire a Claims Sheet, and when we returned the Bouncer was spinning a new story. Making allegations that we were being improper whilst communicating with him and his colleague, and that now only 1 of us wasn’t allowed in.

To this, he continues to claim that if he desires he can keep us outside for WEARING SHORTS; a ridiculous thing to say as we're in mid-summer, people were entering at the time with said attire, and the bar isn't known for holding any strict dress code.

When we entered again to hand in the Claims Sheet, the manager wasn't helpful at all, slipping out of all questions we made in regards to the bouncers comments on dress code, etc. Then who shows up but the bouncer himself; insisting we must leave, we have nothing else to do here, we're nobody, who do we think we are, and that he'll call the police if we do not leave the premises.

Honestly one of the best bars in Murcia center, and probably the only place you'll consistently find English-language music.

Drinks are cheap and the vibe is funky & cool. They have popcorn and regularly play 90's and early 2000's hits, so what more can you ask for? Well, besides soap & toilet paper in the bathroom, but hey, this is Spain, and this bar gets busy.

And anyway, it's a rookie mistake if you've left the house without travel tissues and hand gel (but do be sure to check out my Instagram series #Squattable where I rate the public bathrooms, so the girlies can pee in peace).

Revolver is the place you happily end up at the end of the night. You can chill at tables, play some foosball, or dance if you feel the urge. They have a stage and occasionally host events like music and standup shows. On the weekends they might have a cover, but that includes a drink (3€ for a beer, 5€ for a mixed drink.)

En este sitio donde tienen a una persona de portero muy grosera, mal educada, apática y agresiva en el lugar. Si pudiese daria 0 estrellas de atencion al cliente. Saliendo de la Universidad pasé por ahi y amablemente le pregunté a este tipo, que solo se la pasa sentado por cierto, que si estaba abierto el sitio (por la pandemia me llamó la atención) el contestó que sí, pero muy a la fuerza, pero sin nunca levantar la mirada ni quitar su vista de su móvil de una manera muy mal educada y hostil. Al preguntarle de cuánto era el aforo (pues me llamó la atención que abrieran el sitio en la parte de adentro), la persona simplemente me ignoró y cuando le pregunté, no me escuchaste lo que te pregunté? Me ha dicho "ya te dije que si" y ahi si levantó la mirada y con ojos agresivos no se si estaba bajo la influencia de algun tipo de sustancia no fue normal su reacción , muy agresivo y le dije si estás tan ocupado en tu móvil y no puedes dar simple información general a los clientes, no se que haces aqui trabajando, el individuo con un español muy limitado y en su idioma me dijo algo que no entendí. En resumen, un tipo muy mal educado, mal encarado y agresivo, sin ánimos de informar al cliente absolutamente. No se como esta empresa tiene una persona así de empleado del lugar, seguro habrá gente que puede hacer ese trabajo de mejor manera y mas en estos tiempos en lo que todos estamos y se necesita reactivar la economía, pues a quien deja mal parado es a la imagen de la empresa y por supuesto ahuyenta a los clientes con actitudes como estas. De ahora en adelante no iremos a este sitio jamás y contaremos esta experiencia a mas personas para que estén alerta y no vuelvan a lidiar con este sujeto y pasar un trago amargo en lugar. Nos es la primera vez que habia escuchado malos tratos de este personaje pero ahora me consta. De paso me intente comunicar para informar de la situación al sitio y nunca atendieron el teléfono, deplorable...
