I do not recommend staying here. It is a very average 4* hotel. The first room we were given had a dirty toilet and poo on the wall next to the toilet (I very nearly left there and then) As an apology they upgraded us to a ‘Superior’ room. Ok it was a little bigger and had a coffee machine but that’s about all. The ‘new’ room overlooked the El Invernadero club/bar which is open until 4am at weekends and 2am during the week so there is no chance of having the window open at night. You could still hear the thump thump of the music with the windows closed. This meant we had to use the clunky, noisy air con which switches on and off with a loud click (not conducive to a good nights sleep). The bed frame was really creaky although it did have a comfortable mattress and pillows. The shower was dangerous. One minute the water was a good temperature, then it would run boiling hot and then turn cold. They did a fix on this problem too so we only nearly burned ourselves a couple of times but if that had been a child in the shower……. The hotel is ‘tired’. The wooden bedroom floor was very dusty (thankfully our superior room gave us ‘slippers’) and scratched (see photo). Lifts are tiny and they take an age to arrive. We stayed in the amazing 4* Hotel Tayko in Bilbao recently and Hotel Murcia Rincón de Pepe is absolutely not a 4* hotel if you compare the two. The lady on reception was very helpful though . There are better places to stay in Murcia I am sure.

Good hotel...decent rooms..Good spread for buffet breakfast..beds are a little small but it's fine..clean place and comfortable stay is surely guaranteed...another of foreign tourist stay in the hotel...the only damper is the parking but since the place is in the heart of the city center that is why maybe parking is a challenge..they have a tie up with a parking place nearby and the hotel site mentions the exact address which is a few blocks away from the hotel...rest of it fine..

Clean and well equipped, very nice and comfortable hall Perfect location I did not have the breakfast and for me it was very disapointing to not find the tea maker in the room, a bottle of water was offered

Wouldn't call it a real 4-Star hotel.

Our stay at Rincon de Pepe had its ups and downs. Let’s start with the positives: the staff was friendly and welcoming, the location of the hotel is excellent, and the price initially seemed reasonable. We also appreciated that we were allowed to check in earlier than the official check-in time.

However, there were several drawbacks that impacted our experience:

Parking Fee: Charging €20 per day for parking at a 4-star hotel feels excessive.

Room Temperature: The room was uncomfortably hot at 27.5°C. Despite requesting a temperature adjustment, it only went down to 25°C, which wasn’t much better. Thankfully, opening the window helped somewhat.

Cleanliness: The room wasn’t as clean as expected. There was visible dust everywhere, which was disappointing.

Bed Issue: We booked a queen bed but were given two separate beds instead, which was frustrating. 5.Uncomfortable Bedding: The blankets were extremely uncomfortable—a duvet sandwiched between two sheets, which made it feel awkward and not cozy at all.

Shower and Amenities: The shower was just adequate—not great, but functional. Additionally, the hangers in the closet were broken, which felt like an unnecessary oversight.

Overall, while the hotel has some strong points, these issues made our stay less enjoyable than it could have been. Addressing these concerns would go a long way in enhancing the...

The location of the hotel is very good, however on our arrival there were two urchin like little girls sitting at the entrance!!!!|The check in was smooth and efficient, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.|The room was fine, great bathroom, Aircon etc. However, there was no full length mirror for dressing. Only mirror was in the bathroom. Large bed, but the mattress was like a water bed. When one of us moved the other got the wave! |Breakfast was in the basement, via the lift to Reception and then a carpeted spiral staircase down. |There was exactly the same choice on all three mornings. No variation in fruits, cooked items or pastries. Very poor compared to the Gran Sol in Alicante |We were there for three nights but were unable to relax in our room during the day due to building and renovation work within the hotel. The temperature was in the high 30s so afternoon rests were needed. Drilling, banging, knocking from 8.30 until 5pm, 6pm one day. We complained that we were not told in advance, or at check in, and why were they allocating rooms so close to the work? We were offered another room for our last night, expecting us to pack everything , unpack and repack the next morning. No discount on our stay was offered, not even a meal or a drink to soothe our frazzled temperature. Nighttime wasn't the problem.|If I was to return to this hotel I would need assurances that the works...
