Can Gavella — Restaurant in Muro

We reserved (on recommendation of a mallorcia resident) a table inside plus paella three weeks ago and were offered the worst table of the restaurant, direct at the entrance and 1m to three garbage cans. We just came for the restaurant from Palma (not only for playa Muro) and were willing to spend a good amount of money in that restaurant… but not in that corner. The english speaking waitress only offered us a lounge seat on sofas supposed just for drinks, but we intended to eat. Orhet free tables were ‚reserved’. We got angry and the waitress felt that her feelings were hurt. We decided to pay the 2x10 Euros cancellation fee, left and went to Pondorosa (next to Can Gavella). With no reservation we were treating much better…by far…and had a good lunch finally! If you want to have a good table at Can Gavella make sure to talk to the owner or bribe the right person. By the way we were told the food shall be good and...

We were disappointed. Very friendly service but ten people walking around doesn't mean they do there job. We waited quite some time until I asked somebody to ordere and he responded with "already??". Well... the menu is quite special and you should like extraordinary things when you dine there. We ordered Burgers (not really Spanish - we know) and they were 16€ each- unfortunately not worth the money. The meat was chewy and the potatoes where no fries- they were too soft and not crunchy at all. The bun was way too soft and cold. The homemade ketchup was simply pureed tomatoes- spices missing. Overall missing in taste. We asked for salt and pepper. However; the view is great, but you see the people on the beach. The bathroom area is very well done and inspiring. Choose wisely and we decided next time to bring...

Disappointing. The portions of food were not that big, it's freshness was doubtable. The tuna on the salad was clearly from can, the salmon took a deep dive in oil. Even the salad wasn't made with love. For what we ate, it was overpriced. Regarding the service, it was broken. They forgot our appetizers that end up arriving when we were done with the main plate, it wasn't fresh as well. During the meal, nothing arrived on time, for example we ordered drinks again during the meal and they arrived in the end with the dessert, but then the dessert was already eaten when we got the coffees. It is well located though. The food is made without heart and soul. It seems they tried to please German and...
