Been here a couple times since we live only 10 walk away, but on this occasion we visited with regulars. We all arrived at 8pm and after ordering drinks were were asked at 8:10 if we were ready to order... We hadn't quite decided on our choices but the waiter told us 'we will be busy later and close at 11 so hurry up'.. ..I thought it was rude but didn't show too much concern. We finished our meal which was average, had better in town (the hot and sour soup was awful) . After the main course we were told they would offer an end of night drink to our 2 friends, but not us as they never seen us before! I've never had that said to a table ever before. I wasn't fussed about a drink anyway but the attitude was shocking. They said they didn't care but then backed down and offered us all a drink.. We refused.. Read moreLived in and around Nerja for over 7 years - have used the Asiatico Chinese restaurant dozens of times - staff are brilliant and super efficient - food quality is exceptional considering the variety of dishes. They do a cheap inclusive 2 or 3 course but we have always chosen from the main menu. The tempura prawns starter are fabulous. and with lemon chicken at €4.95 and a stunning sizzling beef dish with black pepper and onions at €5.95 there is a tremendous variety of incredibly reasonably priced dishes. The "fuzai" dishes come in a hot cast iron casserole dish and include the rice or noodles and can be made extra spicy. Had a long wait once when one of the 5 chefs was absent, but other than that can't fault the restaurant. Essential to book as they are full every evening from opening - you won't find a better Chinese without going to a 'Chinatown'...

The Thai fish cakes were not so good, they were quite chewy and the taste was over powered by the lemongrass. The mains we had were the Taiwan King Prawns in three cup sauce. A huge dish of battered prawns in a delicious sauce, and the Cantonese roasted duck in a plum sauce which again was delicious and a generous size. Two courses for three people, 2 bottles of white wine for 75 euros. Great food and...
