Noticing that this place was quite busy for a Tuesday evening, we thought we'd stop for dinner. Asked for glass of sangria but was told I'd have to have a litre, thought I'd just agree. Ordered pizza and caesar salad, both of which were pretty poor to say the least! Pizza had cardboard like dough and gooey topping of seafood mix, nothing like the picante I ordered, caesar salad was bland and tasteless. We really enjoyed our meal at Jiménez. We didn’t book but had no problem getting a table for two on the terrace. It overlooks the main road, but that didn’t impose on the meal. We had Lubina (sea bass) and Pluma Ibérica, which were small fillets of pork. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, but the pork was very special; it just melted in the mouth to give an explosion of flavour - fabulous. Both meals came with delicious chips and some vegetables. Been visiting Nerja for years and always think the food generally is of a really good standard and reasonably priced. This place dissappoints in every way. The pizza bases were bought in, undercooked and soggy. The topping was bland and boring. The seafood pasta was even worse. The prawns were chopped up( for some reason) and the sauce was glutinous and really revolting. I'm convinced it was out of a jar. Avoid this place. There are so many other really good places to...
