After spending a family members ashes in nerja and feeling a bit down we decided to call into potters for a drink to cheers our loved one. We entered the dated and empty inside bar. The lady was engrossed in her phone and chatting whilst I said hello so when she finally turned to us I asked her politely (I do have a loud voice) where she was from as it was nice hearing a home accent. She was so rude back to me stating I was rude and her attitude to my father and my grandmother was so sad to witness. Do not visit this place if you expect good service or clean glasses. Read moreAbsolutely the worst place we've ever had a drink in 20 years of holidaying in Nerja. We've been staying in a beautiful Hostal just 100 metres up the street on our visits for the last 5 years so pass Potters Bar a few times every day. Because the bar where we usually finish off was closed on Saturday night for some unknown reason we decided to give Potters a try - never again! Dark and dingy, an unwelcoming lady behind the bar and four ex-pats who didn't even lift their heads to acknowledge us and another guy swaying at the corner of the bar, obviously drunk, who never stopped staring at us! Gin and tonic and a very small measure of Tia Maria, €13! Definitely...
Read moreThe Bar itself is cosy, comfortable, typical English pub...they have events every night, a quizz night on Tuesday etc, live music on Friday etc We've only eaten there once...we went for the Wednesday Special, advertised as chicken €6.50 but when we arrived, it was lamb shank at €12.50! As we like lamb, we were looking forward to it.. unfortunately, it was lukewarm. We were outside, on the sun terrace but the meal wasn't hot when it was first delivered to us.
