CONCLUSIÓN: NO RECOMENDABLE. —————————————————————— LOW QUALITY cuisine and little professionalism in a nice restaurant. - Diners: couple - Comanda: various croquettes (starter) and monkfish with saffron sauce and cheeks in wine (main courses). Drink: 2 glasses of local red wine and sparkling water. Desserts: torrija and curd mouse. - Serves: waitress. Professionalism and rigor. Save the restaurant from dismal failure. - Description: CROQUETTES: not very crunchy and simple batter, too much bechamel, uninteresting flavor. MONK: The menu says that they serve it with saffron sauce. However, they make it oily with poor quality oil and a few hints of parsley. CHEEK: juicy meat in a rare wine sauce. Nothing special. WINES and WATER: suitable for the price TORRIJA: low quality bread made torrija. Good flavor but the texture and flavor characteristics are terrible compared to the price. CURD: burnt and with a chemical taste. To throw. During the meal I warn the waitress that the monkfish comes with a different sauce than the one described on the menu, without saffron. He offers me a change of plate. I did not accept his proposal so as not to waste the fish already started and because my companion already had his dish served. In my account THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE MONKNUT WITH THE SAFFRON SAUCE WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE. When I go to the manager he says that since I didn't want to accept the change, he has to charge me for the dish as good and complete. CONCLUSION: NOT RECOMMENDED. LOW QUALITY-PRICE RATIO. Emphasize that it is taken into account that making mistakes is normal, but not offering adequate responses to the situation that has created that error is inappropriate.

Nice little hotel inside the walled town a short walk from the train station. Check in took a while as the desk was unattended so we rang the intercom and an older gentleman appeared 5 minutes later but on the phone. His conversation went on another 10 minutes while we waited just to leave our bags (we had a reservation). I surmised that it’s a family run business after staying for a few days, part of the charm I suppose. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking part of the castle, vineyards and the distance hills. Small but comfortable, no fridge or glasses only paper cups. Tub/shower with handheld shower head with ample pressure and hot water. The restaurant downstairs has decent food but a surly waitress and horrible brilliant white lighting. Exceptional wine menu but a number of items not available including seasonal vegetables (?), seems it’s the only place open late during this time of year.

Since the moment of your arrival, you'll feel immersed in a fantasy world. This Hotel is not only gorgeous but filled with the needed amenities and services to make your stay an amazing experience. The owners run the place and they're absolutely kind and helpful. The room is not huge but it has everything you need plus a charm of its own. The Hotel also counts with a wonderful terrace at the top that you can access to through the stairs with reclining chairs on one side and outside sofas and a coffee table in case you wanna take something from the minibar there with you or simply buy something in the vicinities of the hotel and go up there to enjoy the sunset, the view, etc. Then if you happen to change your mind like we did and do not pre-book the breakfast with the room you can always tell them and have it there anyway for a very accessible price and it's well worthy, they served some delicious local cheeses, coffee and/or tea, toasts with jam & butter, an excellent bread, croissants, scrambled eggs and even a glass of wine if you feel like it! The hotel also has its own restaurant but you have to book it if you think of having lunch or dinner because it's not very large and you may not have room otherwise. and last but not least they have a little shop where you can buy all sort of...
