Bar Kulturas — Restaurant in Orihuela

Visited here many times over the last 5 years, usually for cocktails. We dropped by for a round of crazy golf when we were over in May 24, then again today, September 24. I use my Barclays rewards card for all Euro transactions to obtain the Interbank rate from GBP Sterling, and I always ask for the transaction to be charged in Euros if the card reader is taken from me after I have swiped the card or input my pin. The transaction in May was charged in GBP, much to my annoyance, but thought it was a genuine mistake, so let it ride. Then today, despite asking for the transaction to be processed in Euros twice, the guy informed me that he pressed the GBP button by mistake. This is absolute nonsense and shows a trend of Kulturas squeezing another 8% out of each transaction where s foreign bank card is used. As they set the rate, it is in their interest to charge in other than Euros.

In hundreds of transactions which I have undertaken in Spain, using my UK credit card, charging in GBP rather than Euros, has only happened twice, and both transactions were at Kulturas. There won’t be a third time, as I will not be visiting...

Owner needs anger management course

Lovey venue! But service is the worst I have ever experienced. We were a large party so you expect some delay!friend ordered drinks and 40 mins later they arrived after chasing them up several times! A couple in our group ordered the Angus burgers and when they arrived they were certainly not quality burgers as they were thinner than a Mc Donald’s burger .sent them back only to have the owner come to our table throwing a pack of frozen burgers at us , his language was appalling and threatening including shouting that he wanted to stick a part of his anatomy up a part of my husband anatomy is not acceptable. What he did not realise we had Spanish nationals who understood every word.and to use the F word and C word very clearly in English too with children at our table was totally unacceptable! The waiter looked very embarrassed at his behaviour! It’s a shame as the other food was good and as I said venue is lovely. Advice to owner: book yourself on a customer service course and maybe anger...

Was a nice quiet place away from the hustle and bustles of the main Cabo roig strip. Took a while for the guy to serve my wife 2 cokes as he was more interested in chatting to his friend. When asked about wi- fi all he said was "it's on that card" No explanation of what network. We tried all networks to no avail. When asked about food all he said was "It's on the table my wife said "Where on the table" "The table" he said! "Where about" my wife said! "Oh QR code on the serviette box" We are very computer savvy so no problems with QR codes etc and logging onto Wi-Fi but all this would not work as she had no 4G I had a go and I managed to get a very weak signal on 4G but all i managed was to get the drinks menu up then it stopped working. This is just a small problem with the wi- fi they need to sort out. The other issue needs to be addressed by the young guy serving us. All this would not stop us going again to try out the mini golf and food offer on the leaflet on...
