Visited The Palms Beach Club for the first time last Wednesday. Looks nice, not special, lovely swimming pool. Unfortunately, it is understaffed in terms of staff. But all in all we had a great day. There would be a DJ on Saturday, so we reserved 3 beds for Saturday. The lady told us that we had to be there no later than 12 noon, otherwise the beds would be given to someone else. If you're looking for a fun day, we'll be there at 11:45 am. Unfortunately something had gone wrong in the system and our beds were therefore given away. She said that they had contacted us to confirm the beds, but unfortunately they had contacted a Spanish number and we are the Netherlands. So our fun party was canceled and she couldn't do anything for us. No other beds, but unfortunately no excuse or other form of compensation. We thought we had found a nice beach club, but that was disappointing. Unfortunately, all other beach clubs were already full on this Saturday and due to this mistake we did not have a place anywhere at the last minute.
Responding on your comment; You clearly did not read the review properly. We had spent the entire Wednesday with you. When paying at the cash register, we reserved the beds for Saturday! The woman at the cash register only asked for our telephone number, not for the credit card, if this had been said, we would of course have done so! We were only told to arrive before 12:00. So that you could still give away the beds if no one showed up. We were well on time, perhaps you should not blame the customer but admit your own mistake. An apology or compensation would have been more appropriate. The waitress also apologized when paying because it had been a bit chaotic the entire day due to understaffing. We don't just make this up! This reaction is a shame, we expected...
Read moreFirst time returning to La Finca in years and years!!! A bit different to the ambience and feeling of the previous visits (when it was Eduardos) but if you are looking for a poolside destination for drinks, food or a lounger by the pool this is the location for you!!!
We popped in for a nose to see what the "new" finca experience was like and had a cooked breakfast. There were a few disappointing bits of "attention to detail" overall, like a few broken parasols and a broken hand rail down the slope into the pool - which was taped off to be sure no one used it - but these did little to affect the overall experience.
It was quite busy when we got there but not so much the noise was too loud or anything, and even though they were busy this did not affect the service.
The staff were really welcoming as we walked in and provided a really helpful and friendly table service which contributed to a really nice relaxed visit.
The breakfast was really well priced, tasty and not a spot of grease on the plate!!! Was delicious! Disappointed to see we can't get a breakfast on a Sunday (before midday) or on a Monday though - how dare they want to take some time off!!! Hahaha
Overall, a different experience and menu to visits of old but the Finca has had a new burst of life which has made it into a venue we will probably be returning to for a relaxing poolside day or lunchtime snack, but will definitely be back for their...
Read moreOrdered a tostada with tomato and tuna. Asked for olive oil, but "Gordon Ramsay" who was serving me said I didn't need olive oil. If "Gordon Ramsay" knew what they was doing they would also be no other accompaniments on the table eg salt, pepper and sauces. As in theory everything should be seasoned perfectly. So would be no need for that either as the tostada was perfect with no extra olive oil. Went to pay my bill and "Gordon Ramsay" was too busy on there phone to talk to me. Wattsapp must be very important in a restaurant. My partner had poached eggs, which was more like hard boiled eggs. Overall for a simple breakfast in Spain it wasn't great. Tostada = bread, tomato and tuna. (Tuna optional). Poach eggs on toast = bread, butter and eggs. Not really that hard to get wrong. Gordon was very abrupt but I would really expect that if the person serving me was Gordon Ramsay alas it was not. Also as a departing observation I can sit with a coffee in a real cup, but if I order an orange juice I have it in a plastic cup. Coffee drinkers must be more careful not to break them. Very disappointing experience due to a fake Gordon serving me. Tostada was very good btw. (With...
