Chemies Lounge — Restaurant in Orihuela

Group of 4 adults in their 60’s. We left The Plaza, new bar Balu as Malu Park isn’t open on a Monday. Arrived at Chemies at 12:15am for n our way home. We entered the bar to be told ‘we’re closed’, I’d Googled before we left Balu to ensure it was open. We were treated terribly, refused service by the bar person, a dark haired Scottish man. He said we were drunki don’t drink alcohol and he squared up to our friend who has had a stroke and has biopolar. This was embarrassing as the bar was busy and we didn’t understand why this was the case. We are on holiday for 5 days, regularly to Villa Martin and have visited this bar before. My partner and her friend spent a wonderful Royal Ascot Ladies Day at Chemie's Lounge, but unfortunately her friend lost 20 € that she placed on the table, no suggestion of wrong doing, but simply blown away by the air curtain. On asking the owner If there was any chance it has been handed in a member of staff immediately returned it. Obviously they could not go round asking everyone if they had lost 20€, can you imagine the response. It could have been a disappointing end to a wonderful afternoon for them but thankfully that was not the case. So refreshing to see such honesty. Restores your faith in people.Well done...

This was an amazing bar. Very clean and tidy. We were there when they had the bootleg take that. (Who were fabulous) The bar was full to the brim but still the staff managed to serve everyone. A trendy fun place to go. I will go again as the atmosphere was electric. We didn't...
