Restaurante Montepiedra Playa — Restaurant in Orihuela

Great location but that's the only plus. Waiters seemed rushed off their feet and have no time for you. Ate here at lunch time and the salads were nice but had eaten them and then waited a while before my sons meal turned up. Went back one evening, but was pushed to the back and told the tables by sea front were reserved, but were sat empty the whole time we were there. Waiters were unpolite at best. Once again, 3 of our meals came, then 10 mins later half of mine arrived, followed by the other half 10 mins later. Wife had Lasagne which she refused to pay for as it was like a microwave meal. They said they had never had any complaints before about it, which I do not believe. Basically, the food & service is awful but the view is nice ( if you manage to get a seat near the sea. Location is fantastic, right on the beach and plenty of parking. Restaurant ist nice enough but the breakfast food is average. I would have given 4 stars if it wasn't for the fact you are pestered every 5 mins by black guys aggressively trying to sell you sunglasses and fake watches and the waiters and restaurant staff just ignore them and look the other way. This makes having breakfast or dinner here uncomfortable.

To the restaurant owner: please consider putting up signage to ask street hawkers not to bother the guests and eject them when they enter the premises. I paid for breakfast, not to be pestered and...

The food here is genuinely some of the worst food I've ever eaten. I feel morally obligated to leave this review in order to warn other people, even though I rarely write them. I wish I could've left 0 stars, but I guess the 1 star is for the fact that we were literally laughing at how bad the food was. We came to the restaurant excited for the view and left dissapointed and in a hurry and without dessert, because the food was so bad.
