Hotel Montepiedra — Hotel in Orihuela

Hotel Montepiedra|My wife and I stayed at this lovely place in Campoamor in October last year then again in January this year.|The first time we had a pool side room, which was great for those days around the pool. The rooms are clean and functional, with lovely large shower rooms.|We did ask about heir disabled rooms whilst we were there for a family member , and they look as though they have everything you could need ( they were even kind enough to send us a video as they were occupied whilst we were there )|All of the buildings are single story height, so there are no noisy upstairs neighbours. We did have a room with a door which you could open into the next room ( I guess you would use for a family ) which did mean we could hear the people next door when they were in their room, but it wasn’t a real issue.|All of the staff from Reception , bar , waiting and cleaning, were incredibly helpful and polite. The reception area is clean, bright and has everything you need including a bar, a little reading area, and even a games room.|The pool area is clean and tidy like the rest of the place. The pool has a really lovely gentle long slope for getting in and out, so again, if you have a disability, itmakes it all little easier to go for a dip.|The food in the restaurant for breakfast was a good variety, the usual continental style, english along with fruit, yoghurts , coffee etc. The food in the day time looked delicious too with sandwiches , burgers , nachos etc.|In the evening they have a separate little restaurant which we ate in quite a few times. The food was always excellent, a little more pricey than some of the places which surrounded it, but still lovely food and ambiance.|It was actually really nice to observe that a small group of elderly Spanish ladies with their little dogs would come in most evenings and sit with a glass of wine and chat , before heading back to their respective homes.|The locals do use this for wedding venues, but were not intrusive on the pool area where we were.|If you are renting a car, you can also park onsite in a gated area ( at an extra fee ) but it’s not too expensive, and the spaces are a decent size too.|Can’t recommend this place enough if you want to go somewhere where it’s not too ‘full on’ in a gorgeous little, VERY...

AMAZING HOTEL HIGHLY RECCOMEND- we were 3x friends / 2x nights ( we would love to have stayed longer if we could) travelling to see friends who lived in the area. Hotel Montepiedra is the perfect hotel in everyway. The online reservation process was simple and the receptionist on arrival was so lovely , ensuring our rooms were side by side. The rooms WOW - little bungalow's, fridge/ sofa & each with their own outside space. SUPER comfy big beds/ great shower and spotlessly clean. PERFECT Location -right beside the Marina and some stunning restaurants - dont miss out on dining in the Fishbowl - 2 mins walk from hotel - fine dining without the price tag. Breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel experiences iv had - so much choice- hot / cold/ sweet/Fruits/ coffee / juices all you could ask for- even a Bloody Mary Cocktail Station. The pool area was so tranquil , very well laid out, again so clean and tidy at all times. Pool side food menu offered plenty of options - all freshly prepared. Amazing cocktails - i recommend the house cocktail - Garnish or the Daisy .The staff are wonderful , nothing was a problem. We requested a late check out as our flight was at 9pm and for €45 we could stay in our room until 6pm making use of the pool / restaurant/ bar area all day - it was the cherry on top of a relaxing 2x night stay. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. It offers excellent facilities, large rooms with spacious bathrooms, polite and friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast buffet.||The surrounding area is mainly residential, so you won’t have to listen to drunken youths shouting through the night. There’s a Carrefour Express nearby with everything you need in terms of food and drinks. A short walk takes you to the harbour and beach, where you’ll also find a small selection of restaurants.||The pool area is very nice and well maintained, and the rest of the hotel and grounds are impeccably kept and groomed.||The hotel is located about 50 minutes from Alicante (ALC) airport, just south of Torrevieja.
