Booked a table for 4, when we arrived we were seated inside the glass sliding door which needed to be opened by a member of staff evertime somebody was leaving the restaurant. This involved climbing behind our seats to reach a switch that was too high up for the waitress to reach. Large groups of customers gathered on top of our table untill someone arrived to open the door. This was intrusive. It took 20 to 30 mins before our food order was taken with no explanation or apology as to why. Delighted to see Steak Tartare on the menu, having worked and served in 5 star hotels, our son inlaw ordered his favourite starter, Unfortunately, before his meal arrived he had to find the rest room, located behind a large fridge, where he vomited everything up. Reluctant to eate anything else he took his main dish home and ate it later. The other starters, prawns and beef salad were very good. My wife and I ordered the chowder which was excellent. Our daughter's main course was luke warm, We tried several times to get the attention of staff, once we did the meal was replaced by a very courteous waiter saying it was "A Gift For Our Table" She ate her meal alone as we had all finished by then. We chose a 4.5 star restaurant for a special occasion, our 30th wedding anniversary and to treat family who work in Cabo Roig, we were disappointed with our experience. This place could do so much better if they took less bookings and employed a few more staff to engage with customers. The entryway is congested with no holding area. Read moreFood is lovely. X2 male staff lovely. Unfortunately the restaurant has no air-conditioning only fans...of which several don't work. The female waitress was not so nice but actually came across as very rude...she advised me there was no air-conditioning, so she couldn't turn it up and that some of the fans where broken...my family where all dripping in sweat and after us all dressing up...it spoilt the evening.... Then the female waitress harassed me x3 times for payment b4 we even got our very belated pudding... every time i said we, I would pay after the pudding.. but after the x4 time, I then lost the will to argue and just paid... pudding then amazingly suddenly appeared... The attitude of the female waitress, the unpleasant pleasure of sitting in a sweat box for the evening and the money we paid we left very disappointed..
Unfortunately, what should have been a lovely evening was completely utterly spoilt... I now ask the Fish Bowl restaurant to make good to our family for a ruined evening...
Please note I have also tried to put a review on the site I booked with... but the site did not allow me to see what I typed, nor did it allow me to post... The owners reply to me was shocking....and upsetting... trying to make out I was at fault... please note I am half Spanish my dad is from Madrid, so I am not anti Spanish 😔
