Navia - Pizzería & Restaurante — Restaurant in Orihuela

Large open-plan restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating as well. Not much parking. I booked for 7.30 as the website said opened at 7.30 but actually when we arrived it was closed so we waited untill it actually opened at 8. The restaurant was very quiet, only one other couple on this Friday night, but was nicely decorated for upcoming valentines. The food was OK, nicely presented but myn lacked flavour. The hake was nice but the accompanying prawns not so good, and the bed of veg and chips were very soggy. The main causes arrived before we had finished out starters. I feel they should do better by concentrating on cooking the food and less attention on fancy...

Fantastic food cooked with freshest ingredients, as well as inventive takes on traditional dishes. This is not your run-of-the-mill Spanish or Italian place: wide variety of international dishes plus everything is of high quality, whilst service is impeccable and friendly. The owner/chef is always happy to accommodate special requests: they do cater to dietary needs here with great attention and care (gluten free pizza and pasta available). It took them 1h 45m to serve the food from when we arrived at the restaurant. The pasta was bland and not very interesting. The other people in our group who had pizzas, did say the pizzas were delicious. The place is very warm and not very well ventilated inside. I would not recommend going here as there are many better alternatives in the area and next door. One very good thing about the place is they show the Spanish football....
