SHANGRILA — Restaurant in Orihuela

We attended Shangri-la for a music event. A beautiful opened air venue during the day and serene at night, with a pool padded seating areas to sunbathe and tables and chairs too. Large spacious room insidePleasant bar staff. Toilets could be lit a bit brighter. Food, I had the salmon, which was more the size of a starter and not worth 19€ and it came with no sides, not even salad. I'm not a chips person, but it was noted by friends how small the chip portions with their burger... Maybe if there were more than five... each!! So be aware that the portions are small, and there is nothing nearby locally in the area if you would like to pop out and get something a little bit more substantial if you have a large appetite. Our bill 3 burgers and chips, 1 salmon, 1 glass of white wine, and 1 sparkling...

Volver a Shangrila tras mi visita en 2023 ha sido una experiencia transformadora. En aquel entonces el espacio aún estaba en proceso de reforma, pero lo que han logrado ahora es sencillamente espectacular. Shangrila se ha convertido no solo en un restaurante, sino en un auténtico destino experiencial de alto nivel.

Renovación Total:

El cambio es radical:

• Nueva cabina y sistema de sonido de alta gama • Piscina renovada • Ambientes rediseñados con gran gusto y elegancia • Espacios que equilibran exclusividad, espiritualidad y disfrute sensorial

Gastronomía de Alta Calidad:

La comida es otro nivel. Hoy fuimos en viernes, día en que fusionan su carta tradicional con una propuesta de sushi de calidad excepcional. Pedimos:

• Tartar con esencia murciana: sabroso y original • Sashimi de toro: nivel top, fresco y de corte impecable • Carrillera: se deshacía en la boca • Entrecot: tierno, jugoso, cocinado a la perfección • Patatas caseras cortadas a mano: detalle que suma mucho • Tarta de queso: posiblemente la mejor de toda la zona • Coulant de vainilla con helado de jengibre: una explosión de sabor

Dinner Show & Atmosphere:

Todo acompañado por un dinner show elegante y vibrante.

• Los viernes: ambiente lleno de energía, con toques musicales de los 80 • Sábados y domingos: programación espiritual y consciente, con Playa Santa y DJs internacionales. • Domingo: una fusión entre lo electrónico, lo orgánico y lo sagrado, que conecta profundamente con nuevas tendencias de bienestar y música consciente.

Atención y Servicio:

• Staff amabilísimo en cada detalle • El chef, Sergio Degea, un auténtico crack: creativo, cercano, apasionado • Servicio rápido, atento, con verdadera vocación • A pesar del lleno total, el trato fue personalizado y con mimo

Conclusión

Shangrila ha trascendido de restaurante a santuario gastronómico y vivencial. Combina lo mejor de la cocina, la música, el bienestar y la vida social. Un 10 en todos los aspectos. Repetiré sin duda… y lo recomendaré con los...

What a fantastic spot for a celebration! We threw a birthday party for our friend here, and it couldn’t have been better. The salmon was delicious, the wine flowed, and the snacks hit the spot. Big shoutout to the staff — super friendly and attentive. The music was excellent, with really impressive sound quality. And the sun protection? On point — which made all the difference for us.
