This wondeful place has a lot of things for locals and occasional tourists.Very good. 4 of 5 is a high rating and much for me, but they are worth it and I want them to know it. Prices are low compared to what you get and compared to similar places that close to the ocean, beaches. Sitting in the breeze when it is over 28 degrees is priceless. Food: You can try almost everything, everything keeps a high standard i.e. the gorgeous shrimp baguette (Santa Cruz), most of the sallads - especially the greek sallad with proper tasting of the feta cheese, and very tasty vinegar. I have tried so many dishes but have to check out the main menu better but I'm too much of a chicken. Breakfast is what it is - traditional English and not much of a connoisseur's first choice. Baguettes and sandwiches are all good and price worthy. Bacon and Brie panini not to forget. Mussels Blanco - you get as many as you deserve - a big plate if you choose Fish, and not starter. The starter Mussels is wonderful, as a starter though. I will try the Carbonara next time, Suki will like that, and I'm eager to taste and understand what kind of cheese they use. As a matter of fact, I have't had any better Carbonare yet, than the one I make myself. Personell: Wonderful staff/personell. Alert, friendly, eager to comply the different needs. Even when there are a lot of people - between 11 and 4, they take their time to chat. Dogs: Suki and I go here a lot - usually after the dog beach around the corner (2-3 times a week). She can get a sausage or two and gets water without her asking. We are loners, me and Suki, so we occupy a single table, but even when there are no empty seats, the staff talk to other tables and fit us all in! Cons: They serve these freaking terrible Cola or Fanta in 200 ml bottles but keep the 350 ml prize. That sucks 'cause I need at least 2 of those. Garlic bread at € 4. They should serve it free...
Read moreIt's a no frills eatery offering a selection of different dishes. The outside tables have a good view of the med. Our waitress was ok, nothing to rave about here, and for some reason it looked like she was wearing her pj's to work! We had 2 salads, a chicken California dish, a spaghetti carbonara and some bread with aioli. The salads were a good size considering they were actually starters . The chicken was cooked well though the pepper sauce was a little underwhelming. The spaghetti carbonara did not taste like a carbonara, much more of a pesto flavour and look. The bread with alioli was an entire baguette and the alioli was super strong. The entire bill with a wine, coke and 2 pints of shandy was €45 so ok. The restaurant was busy with families and service was good in...
Read moreSurfers Bar & Grill is right beside our apartments and we are regulars through the year. Hot tasty food. Well cooked. Minimal waiting time. Plenty of staff
We also went for sunday roast.Again it was amazing. big portions. Only thing about a Sunday is you might have a bit of a wait as a lot of the tables are reserved. Book to avoid disappointment!! Just go to the bar, have a drink and they will look after you as soon as they see you. They also do a small portion of the same meal for kids.
they had a steak special advertised for 2 with all the trimmings and a bottle of wine. We didnt have it but I imagine it was lovely but What it really impressed me most was the homemade lasagna, to die for, Highly...
