Restaurante Leonardo — Restaurant in Orihuela

Although we called fairly late on a Saturday afternoon to reserve a table for that evening they were still able to fit us in. When we arrived we went through the normal hand sanitizing procedure and were shown to our outside table. There were 3 of us and after scanning the menu to our phones we all decided there was enough of a choice on the menu del noche to select from it. At €15 per person it seemed good value and I'm happy to say that assumption was correct. The food was nice and warm and each course was served very professionally and without making us feel rushed. All of the food was excellent and really tasty. We had a really nice bottle of wine at a very reasonable price given its quality. All in all we spent a very relaxing evening with good food and attentive service and our complimentary drink delivered with the bill was a nice touch. The chef, who is also the owner took time out to ask how our meal was and thank us for coming to dine at his restaurant. We've just returned from our family holiday where we discovered this restaurant by accident. One could easily pass it by, but once you eat there you will hooked. The chef is excellent with fish. The Monkfish and Seabass dishes are stunning. The owner, Sanjit told me that when he founded the restaurant, he brought the chef from his favourite London restaurant with him. It shows. The staff are attentive and efficient and my 3 kids loved the pizzas. Always a plus! One evening, the owner chose my dish - a fresh catch of the day that he assured me I'd appreciate. Enjoyed a fabulous meal at Leonardo tonight. They have a great wine selection and a very reasonably priced children's menu (2 kids main courses, deserts and drinks came to €14). The main menu has a great selection of Italian favourites. The service was top class, friendly and polite. The restaurant was well laid out, fresh decor and a clean look and feel to the whole place. This was the best meal and dining experience we had on our stay in the area. When we return it will be our first stop, I only wish we had discovered it on our first night. Total bill, 2 adults and 2 kids, one bottle of wine, starters (adults only), mains and desert came in at about €75 (tip not included)....
