Visited Pacífico for a breakfast rendezvous, expecting a feast for the eyes and the belly! 🍽️ The presentation? Impeccable. The ambiance? Couldn't be better. But here's the twist – when it came to the menu, it felt like a treasure map with no "X" marking the spot for my taste buds. 🗺️ Nothing screamed "morning delight" to kickstart my day. A bit of a puzzle, really. It's like going to an art gallery where the art is stunning, but none of it speaks to you personally. Pacífico, your breakfast game is like a beautiful painting... that I wouldn't hang in my kitchen. So, a solid 3* for the aesthetics, but the hunt for my perfect breakfast...

Siempre que estoy en Ourense voy a Pacífico , ya sea a comer o algo o café para llevar. Llevaba tiempo hablándole a mi madre del lugar para que lo probase. Si le gusta puede que salga más de casa. Llamamos y nos atiende el cocinero. Dice que tienen las reservas para comida y brunch llenas, que no es posible ir. Pero que si llegamos antes de las 12:30 y hay sitio nos pueden pasar con el menú del desayuno. Le repito la información para confirmar pues está lloviendo y no quiero llegar allí caminando con mi madre y tener que dar la vuelta. “Pues eso es lo que te estoy intentando decir”. Vale, llegamos en diez minutos, le digo.

Entramos por la puerta alas 12:10 y sin mediar palabra uno de los camareros me dice “estamos completos, no hay sitio”. Le explico toda la milonga, que hablamos con alguien que nos dijo que podría ser posible ser acomodados. El camarero responde “pues no, y además, se nos ha acabado toda la comida”. Le digo que diez minutos antes de eso había hablado con alguien por teléfono y me había dado otra versión de la historia. “Hablarías con el cocinero…Ahora mismo no puedo, mira, tengo que atender a estar chicas que están esperando”. Le intento volver a explicar la situación. No procesa, el chico. Es un robot. Ni siquiera contemplan la posibilidad de que estaríamos felices con un café para llevar y repostería. Cero en nivel de empatía y resolución de conflictos.

Parece que este sitio no da abasto. Y me alegro por ellos. Pero les falta un nivel importantísimo de respeto a clientes habituales y a potenciales clientes. Mi madre ha dicho que ni le interesa probarlo ya. Yo dudo muchísimo que vuelva. La hostelería en España peca de entrenamiento. Por eso, lugares como este, en cuanto se pasa la novedad, acaban teniendo que cerrar la persiana. Si no eres capaz de tener un poco de visión de futuro, por mucho que factures, al final tienes unas piernas más cortas que...

Wow, one of the best brunches I've had in a long time. The salmorejo with fresa, nectarina, and mango is a frothy tangy delicacy and the granola bowl, fresh and crispy. The tosta benedicta is delicious with guanciale, and the pasta and torrija are also excelent. The amount is generous as a menu, and all of it is delicious. I don't have many photos cause I was caught up in eating it all. So delicious, definitely coming back. Pity I don't live here. I would be a regular 100%.
