From the first time I saw Al Baile on Instagram I wanted to go because the food on the menu looked full of innovation and the restaurant interior looked rather nice.
The restaurant interior didn't disappoint and neither did the service.
The food however was disappointing. We could not fault the tomato tartare which we shared as a starter, in fact, it was delicious bit both the mains had a lot of room for improvement. I had the dry aged beef burger which wasn't value for money and the bun it came in, was a plain supermarket bun...It was very disappointing although the meat and sauce and vegetables were fresh and tasty. My companion had a dish called "arroz con polllo de coral". The rice was dry and the chicken even more so.
We were both disappointed in the main meals.
Dessert was not memorable either...my companion's Irish coffee was more whiskey than coffee or cream and left him(as an Irishman) feeling rather homesick for a proper Irish coffee with fresh ice cold cream and just enough whiskey to make for an enjoyable experience.

The main course was delicious though we both agreed that it lacked any seasoning to make it perfect. The wine was terribly disappointing. Sadly we asked for Verdejo wine, it was too old and yellow to drink. The restaurant took it back but sadly they did not have an alternative available. The excuse was that it was organic yet one could smell and taste the chemicals and the bottle did not appear to have the organic mark…if it was organic then it was just too old for white wine as it had oxidised. We noticed that most people were drinking Beer or cocktails so this is probably a better option at...
Read moreAfter 6 days in Portugal and Spain so far, we finally found that "WOW" factor in a restaurant! We started with simply enjoying the olives and we immediately knew we were in for a treat. Next the shrimp tacos were incredible with a flavor explosion on first bite! Finally we had the pork ribs (Costillas de Gochu cocinadas a Baja temperature en salsa BBQ) which were amazing and a definite highlight. The dish was served with caramelized onions and a robust salsa along with tortillas so you could make your own tacos if you like. We completed the meal with a bottle of red and lemon pie to finish off our feast. Well worth the beautiful walk to this restaurant if...
