Edit: the owner was very available and reimbursed us the money which was overcharged!
The food was amazing but unfortunately we left with a bitter taste. We went for lunch and got the daily menu which was 13,90€ for 2 dishes plus dessert, bread and water or a cup of wine. When ordering we specified we wanted the menu and asked for the wine and got brought a bottle (we have been in other restaurants and we had it too that we got a whole bottle included in our menus for 2 people). May that be that our Spanish was not the best (we made it known), but turns out they charged us for the whole bottle separate (+11€), so please be very careful and ask for a Copa of wine if you intend to have it with the daily menu. Would have given 5 stars for everything else (food quality and service) but this overcharging was not really honest. Also because we didn't get the drinks included in the menu in the end, but just got charged a whole new drink. Let's blame it on poor language skills on both sides,...

The trouble began with our server bringing my wife's entree and not mine. Ten minutes later, she came back to see how we were and, very embarrassed, left to find out where mine was. When my dinner arrived, 15 minutes after that, it was inedible. It was pollo ajillo, and it was bone dry.
Next, the pleasant atmosphere that included tasteful background music changed when a waiter turned the big screen TV to a football match. Nobody was there to watch it. When I complained, he just...
Read moreIf you are in Oviedo and hungry, this is the place to go! The service was excellent and the food was superb. My husband ( family is from Asturias) and I (American) stopped in after a day of mountain hiking, very hungry. We ordered pimentos de padron, cebollas rellenas, sarten panceta iberica, and un racion de queso gamonedo. Amazing! Tasty and satisfying. The price with a bottle of wine, cafe, and arroz con leche was less than half of what we would pay back in the states for food that tasted half of what we had. Would definitely recommend and we will return on another visit to...
