LAPA — Restaurant in Pájara

Really impressed with this restaurant, set back from the beach in a quieter street the atmosphere is lovely particularly at night with the twinkly lights. The waitress was excellent - extremely helpful, professional and seemed like she was happy to be there. We were excited to see multiple different vegan/veggie options on the menu - the simple salad with mango and pomegranate was a pleasure to eat, really fresh and well dressed, surprisingly exciting for such a simple dish. Following that we got the veggie burgers which were very substantial and delicious- we felt satisfied protein-wise for the first time on our trip as vegans in the local area. Well, what an utterly delightful lunchtime surprise! The scallops special was so good I briefly considered proposing to it—perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and possibly the best thing to happen to me this year (don’t tell my family). Washed it down with a few Alhambra beers, which were, frankly, the perfect accompaniment. The place was a bit quieter than I expected, but the music filled the void—think less awkward silence, more 'cool, we can pretend we’re in a chic movie montage.'

As for our server, they were an absolute ray of sunshine: cheerful, attentive, and possibly moonlighting as a life coach because they genuinely improved my day. 10/10...

The best meal of our trip, easily. After stumbling across Lapa on our last trip here, we knew we wanted to return. The food was delightful, the standouts were definitely the Burrata and Ceviche. The best thing about Lapa though, is the service. The two young men that took care of us could not do enough for us. From dish recommendations to general chit chat, they made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left. They did especially well at keeping our glasses full! 😁

A definite one to visit, we already can’t wait to return on...
