We visited this restaurant for lunch as part of a tour group. Although we had to wait a long time for a table, we didn’t mind too much since the view of the beach from outside was beautiful.
Once we were finally seated, we all placed our orders. Half of our group received their meals and we were told the rest would be out shortly. However, NINETY minutes after ordering—by which time half our group had already finished eating—we were informed that the restaurant had run out of lobster. Four of us had ordered that dish, but they said there was only enough left for one person.
By then, we were starving. All we had managed to eat was a single appetizer we shared and a few bites from others in our group who felt bad for us. We told the staff to cancel the remaining orders because we couldn’t wait any longer and were frustrated that no one had informed us sooner, giving us a chance to order something else. It seems unreasonable that it took 90 minutes to find out they didn’t have enough of the dish we ordered.
We asked to pay our bill, which was only for three sodas and one appetizer. The manager was extremely rude and didn’t even offer to comp our drinks, despite the poor experience. Because we had to catch our tour bus and most restaurants were closing between lunch and dinner, we ended up having to grab snacks from a grocery store.
Overall, we were incredibly disappointed—not just by the delay, but by the lack of communication and poor treatment from the staff. We would...
Read moreNot sure why this place doesn’t have more stars, but the food was the best I’ve had in Spain so far (visiting from the U.S., came here for a day trip from Barcelona where the food isn’t as flavorful l). The service was excellent, the rose wine was delicious and the food was tasty and well seasoned. Seated right along the beachfront around 3pm with a sunny sky made the ambience even better. I’d definitely return!
The shrimp salad with strawberries was delicious (my friend didn’t care for the dressing which tasted like it had mayo in it. I liked it but she opted in for a vinaigrette).
The fried eggplant with honey and lime was very tasty. Lightly salted. I considered it somewhat savory, my friend said due to the honey and lime it was more like a desert. She compared it to a lighter funnel cake.
My friend had the pollo con French fries. The chicken was cooked well, it was tender and falling off the bone. My friend said it was delicious. I had the fish of the day (LLOBARRO) and it was very delicious, cooked perfectly. The side of seared potatoes, tomato and onions elevated the dish. For desert, we both shared the crème con strawberries and we both loved it! So fluffy and flavorful.
I wish I remembered our servers name, he was so amazing, sorry! But all of the staff we interacted with were very...
