The title had us a little concerned, is it a hostal or hotel? The answer is a hotel and the Hostel tag came with the hotel when they expanded from a small hostel to a 3 star hotel.||Situated in the centre of town with a large number of restaurants within easy walking distance and the sea only a short walk. The hotel has been kept in a good decondition with it's main feature the garden. Set behind a wall the garden is a little oasis in the middle of town. Very attentive service is provided for a cocktail, beer or tapas. The main dining room is in two parts and has a extensive la carte menu as well as a fixed price 3 course meal at lunch and dinner for around 12 euros including wine. We ate in the restaurant a number of times and was not disappointed. The rooms are of a good standard with comfy beds very efficient housekeeping and TV's. The one complaint is that no decent English channels are available, but, it's a bit sad to watch TV whilst you are on holiday. Family owned and managed with a lot of care from the resident director who runs a very good hotel. Bit noisy but, you are in the...

Gorgeous dark wood floors, very roomy, a large bathroom with everything I needed. When I figured out how to raise the blinds I found a spacious balcony that looked over the garden patio below. I worried that being near the elevator and stairs might be loud during the night, but I didn't hear a thing. The beds are very comfortable and bedding is a very nice quality. On my 16 day trip, I stayed in 13 different hotels. The Vostra Llar by far had the most extensive breakfast spread of all. I highly...
