Grand Café Del Mar — Restaurant in Palma

Worst service and food ever. We got a table and had to wait 25 minutes just to get a menu. The table was sticky and dirty, we asked 3 times for someone to clean the table but noone cared. Place wasnt even half full. After 30 min a waiter came to take orders. We ordered 2 cocktails. Got 2 totally different than it was presented on the drink menu. For 10 euros we excepted to get what we ordered. Instead we got something mixed in a big wine tasting glass. No presentation, no fruits, no decoration, a long island ice tea was just some coke mixed with rum and ice, not even a slice, properlong cocktail glass lime or anything. While in the same time in other tables other costumers got proper glasses and fruits. We sent them back and the waiter was comlaining that we got what we ordered and had to ask for a manager to fix her. Then we ordered a branch burger without bbq souce and a dorada. We got a different burger xxl size what costs double and it was disgusting. The meat was undercooked and cold, and it wasnt proper meat just some cheap garbage. We asked mayonnaise on side and they charged for 1.5 euro. We got promised when got seated for a free cocktail after we finish our food, obviously that was a lie.The waitress had very weak english and had to run to her manager every time for help when we asked anything from her. At the end we got charged for extra 10% and asked whats that that for, we had to ask someone from an other table thats for vat. She couldnt explain why vat added to our bills when in the nenu was full price displayed with vat. Totally amateurs, dont recommended for anyone. We left hungry and...

Siamo stati in questo locale il 14/04/2022, partiamo dicendo che ci siamo convinti di scegliere questo locale per assaggiare i tacos, convinti che fossero quelli da tradizione messicana (ovvero croccanti). Una volta seduti il personale era davvero antipatico e quasi scocciato e non pronto ad assecondare i bisogni del cliente; inizialmente io e la mia fidanzata ci siamo accomodati all'esterno ma causa freddo volevamo spostarci dentro, una volta chiesto e dopo il loro consenso l' abbiamo fatto portando bicchieri,fazzoletti,acqua e posate al seguito in prima persona, con la cameriera ferma davanti ai gradini. Quando ci siamo seduti dopo poco sono arrivati i "tacos" ops volevo dire piadine perché tutto erano tranne che tacos, al loro interno c'erano cose non citate nel menù in caso di intolleranze come dovevamo fare?. Al sapore erano immangiabili per non parlare dei prezzi per niente adeguati a quella qualità (due "tacos" €9,50 cadauno; acqua IN BOTTIGLIA DI PLASTICA €6,00). Alla domanda se il cibo fosse di gradimento, e dopo le nostre lamentale al sapore di salsa yogurt puzzolente, quello che crediamo essere una sorta di capo ha detto che avrebbe portato le nostre lamentele in cucina (cucina a vista), quello che abbiamo visto, sentito e ottenuto è stata una risata da parte dei 3 (capo, cuoco e cameriera). Inoltre non ci è stato offerto niente nonostante avessimo presentato le lamentele (non dico sconto sullo scontrino ma neanche un caffè). Ovviamente non consigliamo di andarci, è stato il locale in cui abbiamo mangiato peggio non solo in Italia ma anche in Spagna e in tutti gli altri viaggi da noi affrontati (abbiamo mangiato anche insetti che erano decisamente molto meglio). Se volete un tacos, fatto come si deve, andate al taco Bell, al centro commerciale Carrefour, che dista solo qualche km in auto (3 tacos,patatine,bibita grande freerefil a soli €8,50). After extensively researching into places to eat along the seafront I eventually settled on Grand Cafe Del Mar due to their variety of menu! My partner and I enjoyed a date night last Friday by sunset and it was absolutely beautiful. Truly a core memory made. My strawberry mojito was excellent and carbonara very delicious! The only thing that stopped this place being a 5 star was my partner asked for no sauce in his burger (he’s very fussy!) and it came with mayo. The waitress was lovely though and bought him back a fresh one! Would definitely return here...
