Great location, great food and more than fair quality - price relation. They use local products and cook all kind of tasty traditional Catalan dishes. The caldereta and entrecot are definitely two outstanding options of a la carte. They also offer a menu rice option for a good price. Portions are big. The service was attentive and all waiters were nice from the very beginning. Important recommendation - book before going there. It gets full quick and you might need to wait if you don’t have a reservation.

Vam anar a donar una volta pels voltants de Pals, per veure les fortaleses i el castell i lo bo, es que estava molt a prop d’aquest restaurant. De primeres ja vam reservar. És aconsellable que ho feu perquè quasi sempre està tot ple i més ara a l’estiu. Ens van acomodar a una de les terrasses que tenen (hi ha 2 ben grans i tapades perquè no entri tant d’aire) i vam està molt bé la veritat. D’entrants vam demanar una amanida de burrata que la veritat que estava boníssima perquè el formatge estava molt cremòs i tendre i encaixava molt bé amb la resta d’acompanyaments. I ja de segon, vam demanar un arròs caldòs que era de rap i gambes. No sabíem quin escollir perquè tenen una gran varietat d’entre caldosos i secs. He de dir que l’arròs estava brutal. Ara mateix és un dels millors que he provat amb diferència. Obviament es va notar la qualitat dels productes, com les gambes, el rap i l’arròs. El recomano 100%. I els postres també estaven molt bons. El coulant no era casolà però estava correcte, cosa que el pastís de pastanaga ho era i estava boníssima, no empalagava tant. En relació al servei, també va ser bastant correcte i atent en tot moment. Ens va atendre una dona rossa molt agradable i després ja els cambrers. Dir també, que fan menú d’arròs per 26€ amb una amanida de primer i ho vaig trobar molt bé, però només podies escollir l’arròs mar i muntanya i nosaltres volíem provar els de carta. En aquest cas, aquest tipus d’arròs va costar 19€/persona, però val MOLT la pena provar-lo.

Wir waren gerade mit 7 Personen in diesem Restaurant essen. Die Reservierung hatten wir einen Tag zuvor getätigt. Heute angekommen, wurden wir freundlich empfangen und zu unseren Platz geführt. Dieser war an der Straße. Das war ok, aber eben nicht 5 Sterne. Da der erste Kontakt in Englisch erfolgte, reagierte das Personal und legte englische Karten aus. Das finde ich mal echt cool! Die weiter Kommunikation und Essensbestellung erfolge in Englisch, was hervorragend funktionierte. Die Kellner waren super, freundlich und sogar etwas "lustig". Nein, war spassig. Die Kellner waren etwas lässiger und "moderner" gekleidet, was aber kein Urteil zum Service bildet. Nur soll es auch Leute geben, denen sowas wichtig erscheint. Das Essen war gut und reichhaltig. Zu Geschmacklichen Qualität kann ich nicht viel beitragen, da ich selber kein Kenner oder Gourmet bin. Für uns alle (einstimmig) war es ok, und 4 Sterne wert. Ich habe in Pals schon etwas besser gegessen. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend, mit abschließenden Desert und schneller Rechnung. Wir wurden nicht gedrängt zu gehen, doch haben wir uns relativ schnell aus dem Restaurant begeben. Andere wartetet ja schon. Fazit: Das Restaurant ist für ein Abendessen zu empfehlen. Nicht unbedingt vom Ambiente her Spanisch, aber ok. Das Essen war gut.

I can only say as a tourist DO NOT EAT HERE I NOW HAVE FOOD POISONING FROM THIS RESTAURANT FROM EATING HERE LUNCHTIME TODAY .... we sent our food back AS THE CHICKEN WAS RAW no apology we didn't eat anything else that came out as the rest was burnt!! Or uncooked. We paid our bill, there was no thanks, no sorry, no anything, as a tourist don't bother going here to eat it is not a pleasant experience, it maybe different if you are local or maybe stick to something safe like rice or potatoes. The tapas was the worst I have ever had anywhere. also the man serving did not ask if we wanted small or large portions hence we ended up with all large platters way too much food for 2 people, an absolutely hopeless service! And the staff were surly and rude a very unpleasant experience. It says they speak English, they speak very little English and no one explains anything nor are they willing to have a conversation with you. It was my birthday today and we thought it would be a special lunch, it was not and sadly my day has been ruined with...

We are residents since many years and we dont go there anymore. We saw in only 2 years how food became more expensive exponentially and the service worse. Every 2 weeks there’s new waiters badly trained, with bad or no manners, screaming to each other from far, and unable to speak the local language: Catalan. We felt very discriminated. When I tried in English There the waiter understood.
