We had dinner twice at La Perla during our 3 day stay, and both experiences were excellent. The food is truly wonderful—creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Just a heads-up for travelers: restaurants in the area don’t operate on a continuous food service schedule like in the U.S. Dinner typically starts after 8 PM, though they may offer some appetizers earlier if the kitchen staff is available.
The service at La Perla was great but they were super super busy and it sometimes would take a little to get attention. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, especially when it came to wine recommendations—they helped us choose some fantastic local options that paired perfectly with our meals.
Our kids were thrilled with the wide selection of ice creams, which made the evenings even more fun for them.
We highly recommend the “secreto” pork dish—it was incredibly tasty with a subtle Asian-inspired twist. The fish and tacos were also top-notch. We’d absolutely return and highly recommend La Perla to anyone...

Food is mediocre, very limited selection, 2 waitresses behind the bar but mostly self service, no food on the patio (why?), limited wine selection and not even of their own wines (i wanted to taste wine to take some cases home, but this is hardly possible). At the end, we paid €50 for appetizers and some wine and will never come back.

La cantidad de pizzas que venden para llevar y para consumir en el local. Y los vinos tan malos que tienen. Son el hotel de bodegas Pesquera de Peñafiel y la taberna se supone que debe potenciar y dar fe de la calidad de los caldos de esta afamada bodega. Todo lo que me han puesto malo y frío. Por supuesto he protestado y me ha dejado muy mal recuerdo. Lo que me tendría que haber dado la pista es que en este lugar tan emblemático de vino. Todo el mundo está bebiendo cerveza menos yo.
