We were so excited to eat here, during this trip we planned to cook most of the food we ate on our camping stove, which we did. But Bellaverde was a place we really wanted to try so we made sure we planned it into our budget.
The meals were pretty average to be honest, very expensive for what you get. But the lemon desert was spectacular!
We arrived at the restaurant with a reservation but we still had our backpacks and hiking clothes on. My boyfriend had a bottle of water in his backpack from the days walk and took a sip and put it back in his bag under the table.
Later when my boyfriend left the table to use the toilet, the owner of the restaurant came over to me and voiced her disgust that my boyfriend took a sip of his water from his bag. Why she waited till he had left the table instead of saying it directly to him, I have no idea. But I thought it was very rude the way she went about it.
Before coming we had read that somebody was charged €5 for a water. So because of our budget we decided to just have the mains and a desert and skip the overpriced drinks.
At the end of our meal the owner took our payment (which was the same price as our weekly groceries) and made out to be annoyed that we weren’t adding extra to the bill for a tip.
Maybe she was just in a bad mood that day, or maybe she prefers customers who are going to buy bottles of wine. The place felt a little elitist.
I’m sure if we had been dressed up in smart clothes and had lots of money to spend our treatment would have been more friendly :)
Giving two stars only for the...

Now this might totally sound like a bought review, but I think this place 100% convinced me of vegan restaurant food, that aren't just burgers. Everything, from the entres to the deserts totally deserved a 10/10. Even the selection of drinks was perfect.
We started sharing a white gazpacho, which was honestly the best I had to date. It came with ginger sorbet, and I couldn't get my head around how amazing it tasted. We told the waiter that we'd like to share it and even got two plates which each was a good portion in of itself.
My SO had their vegan bolognese and was totally convinced of it and even tried to get the secret out of the waiters. I had the deluxe burger with truffles, which was great. For me the truffle wasn't worth the extra money though.
The only negative point was that we overheard the waiter tell the table next to us, thst seitan is a kind of mushroom. Which of course isn't true. I sincerely hope that this wasn't due to the language barrier.
The location was great and lovely, our waitress very helpful, although she was stressed.
I would recommend a reservation (even if you're only 2 people) especially in the main season. We barely got a reservation one day in advance and we saw many people leaving again when we where there.
Thank you Bellaverde for this...

This Vegan Restaurant with its garden flair is located in a picturesque street right next to the beach. Don't be like me at my fist visit, make a reservation, they can fit groups of any size if you book in advance.
They focus on quality and taste, the service is focused, welcoming and helpful if you ask them.
Food: The menu is small and as I understood based on the season, I can recommend the eggplant, grilled vegetables and the Thai curry if you like a little spice, the other dish we had was a bit too acidic for most of the people I would guess, but I loved it!
The starters are absolutely amazing and I could have them for the main course as well.
The service: ...is run effective and smooth, at the first visit we had the luck of getting a table with no reservation but that was just luck. They were really focused on the tables but if you ask them about their food and drinks they are happy to recommend something based on your taste.
The Ambiente: You feel like, walking in someone's garden, the noice gets turned down, the hectic life of the main street immediately gone and the fig trees giving a nice shade to enjoy the evening with a nice plant based meal.
You can't be wrong coming to this restaurant, after the first visit I looked into the guide michelin app to see what they write about it because I was very convinced that this type of food would definitely make an...
