Dined (I used the word loosely) last night and ordered the chicken twice. The reason I ordered it twice was due to the fact that the first time it was still pink, raw and uncooked so I returned it. Expecting it to be given a blast in the oven for 10 minutes or so I waited a further 15 minutes and an entire new dish was delivered to me and the same result .... raw, pink, uncooked chicken which if eaten would have led to food poisoning. At this point I paid for my previous course/drink and left. Whilst the staff apologised and seemed to understand the problem they didn't appear to know how to deal with it - basically they were out of their depth. There is no doubt (looking around) that the pizzas on offer are of decent/good quality and my suggestion is you stick to these as beyond the pizza menu the chef and staff there seem to have limited knowledge...

First to the positive: The outdoor garden is really nice, the staff are really friendly and service was on point. The pizza crust had a nice wooden smoke taste to it.

However the pizza was not a favorite. It looks really amazing, but I found the dough to be very wet in the middle and bready/chewy on the edges. The tomato sauce was very anonymous in taste, and the cheese too, mostly serving as filling. Also, as I find with many pizza restaurants, way too salty for my taste. For a Diavola pizza I would also expect some hot peppers apart from the spicy salami.

Reasonably priced. We ate two pizzas with several drinks, wine, beer, water at 48 euros. After all a descent meal, but nothing...

Please don't be put off by the unassuming frontage of this gem of a restaurant. Hidden behind the immediate interior is a lovely sheltered garden terrace area, with welcoming, attentive staff. It's a measure of the place that they have the confidence to seat diners at the back, out of view of the street, first.

And now to the food. Wow. The antipasti mixta, which is billed as a single starter, ended up being shared between four of us. Bread, olives, three cheeses and three meats. Delicious!

But even that pales by comparison to my main, the seafood ravioli. It. Was. Simply. Fabulous.

Price: middling. Quality: outstanding.

Can't recommend the place...

A proper Italian pizzeria with a good line in pasta, wood fired pizza oven, tonight offering efficient friendly service indoors on a cool early season evening. The staff were having to turn away late arrivals which should tell you something about the place. We've had pizzas as good as these other places I'm sure, but not in PdP. (Mallorcan and Gambarettii were our choces). They'd be a good pizza anywhere, and the prices are more than fair. If you like a proper pizza as opposed to a Meatfeast, stuffed crust, BBQ Kebab curry pizza Portofino is recommended!
