Voss Urban — Restaurant in Pollença

I know that we visited at a time when a lot of The bars/cafes are light on staff but we waited over 40 minutes for some toast and pancakes, when we tried to ask how much longer it would be we were told to just wait. No apology no explanation as to why it might be taking so long just basically shoo’d away like an annoying pet. We were then told 2 minutes and our food would be out. We waited a further 10 minutes and decided that enough was enough, we just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave. The staff member was extremely rude and said “if you wait a bit longer the food will be here” to which we said no we have been waiting long enough. His answer was “well we are busy, we are all working and the chef is working” again there was no apology and he seemed absolutely disgusted that we should be asking where our food was. The issue was more that the staff didn’t take the time to say I’m very sorry but there will be a bit of a wait for food before we ordered and then were extremely rude once questioned (very politely I might add) where our food was. I definitely wouldn’t go...

I visited yesterday at midday and have decided to write this review in a neutral manner, as if I had done it yesterday, I may have been more critical.

I will say this, the fries were good and the burgers were nice. However the wait of over an hour was not acceptable.

We waited patiently, and to be fair we are on holiday so time wasn't an issue. Being ignored and blanked and not being forthcoming with information is a sure fire way of ensuring that customers were getting annoyed. It wasn't just our table but most others as well. If there was a problem in the kitchen, and we were told, then ok. We would know the food is coming. But nothing.

After the hour mark, I asked to pay the drink bill, and as I stood up to pay and leave, the food came. With no apology or anything. Just plate down, walked off. Asked for the bill, and again nothing.

We were very suspicious giving a try to this charming trendy atmosphere for a late lunch. Selecting one randomly from the surrounding restaurants would probably result in a much better gastro experience. What could go wrong went wrong here. Waitress admitted at placing the order that this is her first day here. Then after a long 40min+ wait (only 2 tables were taken) they brought all meals at the same time. Many cooled off... the quality of food was very basic, I thought you cant prepare a hamburger or fish&chips that bad, they still managed to hit the lowly set bar. Cold Pamboli tasted the biggest rip off. The only positive thing was the detox smoothie. Offering free ice cream to the kids at the end saved...
